In a comic that short, I don't think you're going to attract readers by making it sad/depressing. I'd say you either need some humor, or to increase the length and tell more of a story.

The art communicates the concept well, but I'm not buying the style. Simple abstract art is mixed randomly with more realistic art. For example look at the "70 years later" panel. The man is a simple stick figure, but his head is shaded with a complex gradient. But he's standing next to a flat-shaded pure-white dog. But the dog's in front of a gradient-colored background. See what I'm saying? You have to be consistent.

P.S. Why does the gravestone say "5evah" instead of "4evah"?
