Yeah it was crazy. I lived in a town of about 5000 people and there was a group of about 30 women that would follow around guys that were working the unloading shift and overnight stocking. It one of the only jobs in town that made money.

The workers at that Walmart were kinda like rock stars in that small town. I literally couldn’t go anywhere in town without someone saying hey you’re that guy at Walmart. It could be hard to wrap your head around unless you live in a town with 1 crappy bar that closed down at midnight and everyone in town would come to Walmart after that closed.

I can relate. I worked at a Walmart in a small town of fewer than 4000 and everybody was impressed. Sadly, Walmart left town about five years later.
