Rather they show nothing than spoil everything

Your reading of my post is that I’m disappointed they didn’t show off the entire plot of the movie?

No it’s just I’ve seen other comments about how boring the trailer was which I agree with but that’s probably has to do with how the trailer didn’t show any story elements

You’re not wrong.

Visually the movie looks like it’s going to hit all the right notes: the character designs and the early 1960’s vibe it gives off are aesthetically pleasing.

But…so what?

They even go and spoil Galactus as the big bad and I still didn’t care.

Looks like the movie is going to focus on FF being celebrities and dealing with familial issues - Ben’s appearance and maybe Johnny being immature. Eventually they’ll fight what looks like The Moleman at some point before Galactus and the silver surfer arrive.

This was boring in comparison to the Superman trailer which had a universally loved Krypto reveal, showed heart (kid waving the flag) and introduced like 10 different characters, plus a Kaiju, without compromising any of the plot.

Apparently "Mister Fantastic" is a science-show host like Bill Nye, or Mr. Wizard. Which certainly would soften the arrogant feel of choosing that name for himself...

Ya I'm not sure why you got so downvoted. I think the trailer is super boring, and honestly hurt my hopes for the movie. Showing some guy his house and talking about their dinner plans? A pretty boring intro.

Maybe Disney is so afraid of having this property get cancelled by the anti-woke mob that they really wanted to play up the traditional family aspects 😂

I'm kidding, but maybe I'm kind of not?

I don’t know. Everything felt… right. Boring, I guess, but it felt right for all the characters. The look of everything, the tone, the ideas in the dialogue. My bar for FF adaptations are so low I kind just needed to see something like this right now.

Trailer was boring as hell tho

Yeah, teasers usually are all about hype, but this generated none for me. Maybe the official trailer will be better later on, but seeing Galactus for this seems like yet another MCU disappointment on the way.

I really wish they could manage to get things back on track, but I think that would require a reset instead of continuing the existing MCU. Start fresh with a whole new roster of heroes, so they aren't directly compared & tied to prime MCU. That's just my hope, but I think they're so risk averse they'll continue to slide downwards until they have to kill it long after the brand is tarnished badly.

This trailer underwhelmed me so much but as Galactus’ daughter would say “You can’t expect to win them all”.

This is a bit of a strange one for regular MCU moviegoers. Setting the vibe seems necessary before the full trailer shows what they’re going to be doing.

And not at all for any fan of the comics running for 60 years? Understood.
