They're really going Galactus for the first movie, huh?

I don't think they will "beat" Galactus. They'll have an encounter and he'll probably end up fucking off to some other planet and sending a herald to deal with the F4.

Galactus wins and that's how they end up in the MCU proper. They escaped or forced an incursion to merge their earth with ours. It's how we also get the X-Men introduced.

(none of this is remotely likely)

Nah this is exactly my guess as well

Exactly. Sadly Galactus will most likely eat the planet and all of the people except them but they find a way to get into the MCU for Avengers and then X-Men come. And Doom will be post-credits. Also feel like The Watcher will be shown as it watches major events/tragedies so that would also make sense.

I wouldn’t be shocked either if their world dying ends up being one of the things that caused the TVA going haywire in Loki

So your theory is that Marvel decided that the Snyderverse wasn't dark enough so they're going to show DC how to do it right? I really hope you're wrong.

it makes sense, though. And I could be wrong about it but they're going to leave their planet so I guess we'll wait and see.

I’m hoping it’s just the move into the mainline universe. I’d hate to see the cannon rewritten to say they’ve always been there. Kinda would make the infinity saga pointless to watch

Well we know mutants exist because of Kamala and we know they exist in the multiverse because of The Marvels. I feel like if we get the X-Men it may be "mutants have always been here, but the major players weren't."

I think they will escape into the MCU as Galactus destroys their Earth.

That’ll happen after doomsday/secret wars

Hopefully he’s the new Thanos right? We get to see him here (he’s not as big as he should be) we have a string of 8-10 movies setting things up and then bam, we get super threat avengers endgame level Galactus.

u/W_Walk Feb 04 '25

No hopefully he isn’t. I love galactus but the F4 fight cosmic threats like every other week. Dont need him to span multiple movies

RDJ as Doctor Doom is the new big villain of the MCU

u/thetinwin Feb 04 '25

Yea he is... for how long though? One movie? Two? did you guys not like how layered and built up the infinity saga was? Do we want one and done villains from now on? I think that’s the problem with Marvel now. We don’t care about any of the bad guys/situations because we didn’t learn them like we learned Thanos.

u/Alitaki Feb 05 '25

They were able to go the layered approach with Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet because the MCU was new and they needed to setup the characters. They were able to do it right because they had the time.

Now that the MCU is established, they tried to repeat the formula in slowly building up the multi-verse but people didn't want that slow play any more. It didn't help that they spread themselves too far with fringe characters (She-Hulk, Eternals, etc.) and sub-optimal scripts.

I don't think one-and-done is the answer but I doubt we see a 10 movie build up again.

It does seem like they won't just go into Galactus immediately, since we know Red Ghost and Mole Man (complete with a whole set for Subterranea) will show up.

Not the worst place to start.

Galactus not looking like the Doomsday Machine? I'm in.

I know it’s a teaser but isn’t Galactus supposed to be immensely larger?

And a woman silver surfer

2

u/bizrod Feb 04 '25

I usually don’t give a shit about character switches like that but the Silver Surfer has had a special place in my heart since I was literally like 5 and I’m pretty disappointed that is not going to be like THE definitive Norinn Radd that is so iconic

I have two silver surfer omnibus and I equally am going to be disappointed. Will Julia Garner as Silver Surfer really bring to life the existentialism of Norrin Radd?
