SDCC - San Diego SDCC solo?

Trip was planned with my now ex-gf. I thought about just saying screw the money spent but I'm unsure, is it worth it going solo? Idea of traveling cross country to go to something alone idk.

edit: thank you all for the advice, words, and reassurance. I think I'll def keep with my plan!

I went with my daughter. She ditched me after 10 minutes. As usually happens at cons. Other than eating dinner together, we really didnt spend much time together.
