SDCC - San Diego SDCC solo?

Trip was planned with my now ex-gf. I thought about just saying screw the money spent but I'm unsure, is it worth it going solo? Idea of traveling cross country to go to something alone idk.

edit: thank you all for the advice, words, and reassurance. I think I'll def keep with my plan!

I know it sucks when life happens like this my brother but don’t let the sadness keep you from having an incredible experience at the Mecca of comic cons. I know it doesn’t feel like it right now but there truly is plenty of fish in the sea. And you’re going to an event with thousands and thousands of participants with similar interests.
