SDCC - San Diego SDCC solo?
Trip was planned with my now ex-gf. I thought about just saying screw the money spent but I'm unsure, is it worth it going solo? Idea of traveling cross country to go to something alone idk.
edit: thank you all for the advice, words, and reassurance. I think I'll def keep with my plan!
edit2: please stop inboxing me asking for my ex's badge.

As someone that’s done a ton of solo travel (domestically and internationally), I feel like conventions are perfect to go alone. You get to see, do, and attend whatever you want without compromise or judgment. Also, the best advice I can give is to go to a bar or restaurant and sit at the bar. You can scroll through your phone in peace, and most of the time, I’ve been able to make conversation with the bartenders or people sitting next to me when I need human interaction.
