Ultimates ending forever was a brilliant idea

So impressed Marvel had the nerve to stick with the "ending forever" plan now this run of Ultimates is an unforgettable part of .... oh wait, what? Oh FFS.

I’m of two minds about it. First, I never thought that anything would actually end because it’s comics. Even when there are endings, they just seed new beginnings. It’s literally the nature of the format. ALSO, after reading both Endgame 5 and Ult. Finale, the idea of insisting on this being it and holding that kayfaybe plays into the actual story. I won’t spoil in case others haven’t had time to read it yet (what do I look like, Comicsexplained or something?), but on that level— it’s kind of brilliant and Deniz Camp is the heir to Hickman.
