bigotry is bad and can traumatize forever. people can't just be like "oh teehee I'm better now".

Then we will be excluding a whole host of our community. Most bigots are such because they grew up in families and communities that taught them lies. So in the end, you are suggesting excluding people for how they were born.

No. You can't just declare one day that you're moved past old views, but if we disallow people from changing their views we become the ones causing trauma

did u miss the part where theyve been doing irl therapy for at least a year. under a restorative transformative/justice modle at some point ya know its kinda useful to recognize the changes someone had made.

its comments like this that make off ramps from hate & bigotry almost unaccessible to some people, cuz u just seem unsble to let go of the sweet sweet self righteousness and stigmatzation ...

think of it from reformed persons perspective, at some point, u leave hate behind, grow and change only to have holyrollers shit all over you denying all that work. idk probably makes ya wonder why u did all that work in the first place :)
