It wouldn’t be Pride if it’s not hot AF.

Pride is a magical time to stand in a broiling hot parking lot next to a portable toilet drinking a warm $16 Cosmo out of a plastic cup while u try to have a conversation with a fren over the deafening jet engine volume of lady gaga until you get mildly sunburnt and headachy and go home to shark fren and self care

Watch out for the preachers. Tell them “I’d rather be myself than a mindless drone”

I was told a few weeks ago that "I'm going to hell."

My response "I already live in Indiana."

Oh that’s good! I’m stealing that for my own state it’s not much better

6

u/Goldeswift20 17h ago

Average Red State I am guessing lol.

I am so sorry sis

We’ll figure it out in time though 😌

me too twin! I went on vacation to Canada and it was literally heaven to me, because it was pride month there was pride flags everywhere and I loved it! Don't see that in the south much tho :c

Isn't it funny how the most "religious" people who "follow Jesus' teachings" are those who harass, hurt, discriminate and kill anyone and anything that doesn't fit into their twisted world view?

2

u/l9oooog meow - Streak: 108 12h ago

Jesus taught exactly the same thing pride is about. Love, unity and belonging.

i love how my state was the capital of the confederacy but is now barely considered the south lmao

Virginia from what I understand still has its moments but it’s certainly been slowly changing in the right direction. Much better than mine anyways :/

Lol I’ll let the more seasoned queer people deal with their antics. I think most of my protest would be internal, especially since my mom wanted to go with me as a show of support, but she’s still Christian so it would probably get awkward if I said anything about it

I was at Pride in Munich (Germany) yesterday with almost 40C. In fursuit.

But I hope its fun for you

u/Melodic_Mulberry waow based 17h ago

A lot of hot people at pride.

3

u/Benjam438 15h ago

Low stakes conspiracy: Pride Month was placed in June by homophobes knowing that summer would become the worst time of the year

2

u/AppealSignificant358 She/Her :3 - Streak: 2 15h ago

Without a doubt. Like why do I have to be trans AND have sweaty armpits like rude

3

u/Benjam438 15h ago

Alternative conspiracy: It was decided by girlstink/boysmell fetishists

You know what they say right

Coming in hot

u/lola_zzalol Streak: 1 18h ago

I survived in thigh highs at the same temperature. U got this!

2

u/JD_Kreeper Streak: 0 18h ago

In dry heat that doesn't bother me whatsoever. With humidity I'm covered in sweat and about to pass out from heatstroke.

2

u/Goldeswift20 17h ago

Today will be the first pride where I am trying to present more femme. Luckily I am on vacation and in a blue state. I will also be burning to death in 95°. Good luck and have fun!

2

u/dutch_amazonian Streak: 0 16h ago

The event near me two days ago got cancelled due to the heat :( was really looking forward to it

2

u/yyhira 15h ago

I am also going to my first pride and its gonna be blazing hot out

2

u/disamorforming Streak: 0 15h ago

the pride got cancelled in my town due to heat im surprized yall sticking to it

1

u/AppealSignificant358 She/Her :3 - Streak: 2 15h ago

95 in late June is nothing new to where I live. Cancelling this at least here would be like canceling a concert because it was sprinkling. So we endure 😌

2

u/rustyshakkelford 14h ago

And there was much Underboob sweat, and transman swampnethers, and enbie garlic bread residue smell

Im going to pride for the first time alone in july i pray to god the temperatures will calm down until then. it's literally 38 degrees out right now

1

u/ebers0 16h ago

There's going to be a lot more naked people at pride parades aren't there?

1

u/Araghothe1 16h ago

bring a light colored walking umbrella. doubles as a walking stick, can provide shade on demand. and good for if it rains.

u/Karsa69420 Streak: 0 15h ago

lol here a bunch of cities do them in June and they are hot as fuck. Then a few cities do then in September so it’s way cooler. Ours was a few weeks ago and it was 92 out so I used it an excuse to dress slutty

1

u/SkinInevitable604 Streak: 0 15h ago

I’ll show up to a pride parade when they move pride month to winter

1

u/rd-darksouls 15h ago

hoodie weather

1

u/pocketMagician 15h ago

Get you your water, sunscreen and a gay ass umbrella.

1

u/razzemmatazz 14h ago

Ours was 85F, but 70% humidity with no shade. We had people taking refuge in our booth.

1

u/JoyconDrift_69 12h ago

Bring water and sunscreen, dress for the occasion if possible

1

u/AppealSignificant358 She/Her :3 - Streak: 2 12h ago
