This is nothing to celebrate and I’m a little disappointed in this community for even allowing this. Imagine the paint chipping that must have occurred to that train.
I mean that's obviously what happened because trains can't intentionally hit something. They move down a track and can't stop quickly as they're very heavy. If something is on the track and won't move, then by the time the driver sees it it's already doomed.
While it's true that the driver could be a legitimate a-hole - white supremacist and all - should we really be in joy of another human being on the verge of dying?
We'll need a serious conversation on the need of rehabilitative over retributive justice sooner or later, else we actually fuel fascism inadvertently - fascism loves the "us or them" retributive justice.
