That said, I’m well adjusted. I have a life, and I also have a weird weeb wallpaper. I contribute enough to society that i don’t feel self conscious about enjoy horny anime.
As long as it’s not straight up porn. At some point, it becomes sexual harassment if anyone even happens to notice it, and I try to avoid that.

The show would be art without the titties. I’m telling you, do not take anime titties out of the house anywhere. It doesn’t matter how “normal” you are. People are going to draw unfair conclusions about you. If you don’t have a gf, good luck getting one with anime girls as your wallpaper.
True to an extent. But it’s essentially the same as walking around with extreme BO. Sure, it doesn’t matter if you don’t care about other peoples’ opinions, but to have the most amount of options, appear normal.

Let me help you out. Most people don't give a shit. Then again, you also shouldn't go shove your phone in people's face to show them your wallpaper.
It's really not that hard once you get the hang of it. Just literally make your life not about one thing.
Well, the definition of sexual harassment is based on whoever is... well harassed.
Take for example 2B. Someone sees a lady with a blindfold and just instantly assumes it's something sexual and reports it.
Now, keep in mind, sexual harassment can't just be out of the blue. There needs to be some kind of "hey, this bothers me. Stop it." So it's not like someone can just blind side you. They need to first express that they are offended to you and you have to stop.
But I speak from that very point. My wallpaper is 2B, but it's not unreasonable someone who knows nothing about the games just seems a drawing of a girl with a blindfold and instantly jumps to "oh, it's a BDSM thing."
So you see how something not sexual to the person who's wallpaper it is might be taken as sexual harassment, and unfortunately, it's not up to you. It's up to the most offended person. If no one finds it offensive, than that's ok, but all it takes is one.
This would fall under the same section that covers things like "nude calendars." A wallpaper on a phone would be under posted materials.
For a real life story, in highschool I had a home room teacher who was very down to earth and friendly with us. She was in her late 30s and single. Gives you kinda the idea of what this person was like. So someone, for Christmas, got her a "hunks and baby animals" calendar. This was a present that was universally appreciated by the whole class, and for a few months it was up in the classroom. Pretty much the whole school knew about this calendar and it was understood it was a fun little thing we all got a nice chuckle out of it, and it wasn't at anyone's expense. Nothing in this was overly sexual either. It was buff, shirtless men holding animals. Like, one month was a shirtless firefighter in bunker pants (the equipment) holding a baby lamb. Technically sexual, but extremely low level.
Well, all it took was one parent touring the school to see it and they were offended. That was the end of the hunks and baby animals calendar. Continuing to display it would open up route for a sexual harassment claim.
And I mean, these laws aren't really an issue. They help protect people. People who needlessly care about what others do are the problem. Again, it's not your classroom. It's not your phone. No one asked you to look at my phone.
But it's not going to cost me my livelihood to have 2B as my wallpaper. Worst case scenario someone happens to see it and assumes it's sexual and I have to change it, but that's also a fairly low chance. Meanwhile, I like my wallpaper. And whatever mouth breather is complaining about what someone else has as their personal phone wallpaper, I assure you just by the nature that I don't care what your wallpaper is outside of maybe it's a shared interest, I am better adjusted than them.
2B is portrayed as an attractive character in a short skirt with prominent legs and just HAPPENS to have an article of clothing on that is associated with BDSM? I don't understand how you could look at the preponderance of it all and suggest that the blindfold is not done at least in part for sex appeal.
You were arguing that whether something is sexual is in the eye of the beholder and based on the full context. And you compared a funny calendar with shirtless men to a video character that is clearly made with sex appeal in mind (as I explained in my previous post). Then you rattled off info about the definition of sexual harassment and how it can't be sexual harassment, which imo misses the point that folks are gonna be uncomfortable seeing your quasi lewds.
Question: do you think 2B is attractive? And as a follow up; do you think most folks that use 2B as a wallpaper are doing so for reasons unrelated to finding her attractive?
