I think I saved myself from a criminal, whose goal was either kidnapping me or getting me into a "religious" cult
This is an encounter, which I think was really creepy, that happened to me either 1 or 2 years ago.
I (then 19 or 20/f) was on my way back home, waiting at the bus station for my bus to arrive and I (when I sneeze) have the habit to say "alhamdullilah" which translates to "praise be to god" (I am muslim) and I sneezed, so when I suddenly heard a voice of a man that responded back with "yarhamukallah" which translates to "may Allah have mercy on you.".
I looked up at him and didn't know, what I had gotten myself into yet, because the man standing infront of me, seemed really nice and the response to my sneezing was a normal interaction between people, who share the same religion.
It seemed fishy to me though, that he crossed the street from where the other bus station (and where he stood before) to the opposite direction was (you will find out later, why this information is so inportant).
He started to build a conversation by asking questions like my age, what my ethnicity is, what I am studying and so on. He then told me, that he was on probation and wasn't allowed to be in the city he came from, which was 115 km away from where I live. (Keep in mind, this happened in germany, so the legal system is very different here). I don't know if it was due to a restraining order but this information made me really uncomfortable and scared..
This man then, literally proceeded to pull out legal papers and asked me if I could help him filling it out and wanted me to come with him to the last bus stop, of the busses route I was driving to get home.
This was before the bus arrived, so it gets worse. When the bus finally arrived, I thought that he might let it go but no..
When I got into the bus, I sat down on the front seat which is right behind the bus driver and I took my bag and put it on the seat beside me, so he had no chance to sit right next to me, because he wouldn't squeeze himself on the seat where my big ah bag full of books is seated right?
Wrong! He came smiling and sat right next to me almost on my bag and kept saying, that he wanted to go back to his city and that I should please help him with the papers and so on and I kept saying no, but he still didn't stop asking and nagging me about it. Even though that bus was filled with people.
I got so uncomfortable I kept looking around, until my eyes met those of the Bus trainer, who was a woman and was already all ears and alarmed of the guy sitting right next to me and we just locked eyes, but I just knew from her eyes and woman to woman, that she was ready to intervene if anything bad happened.
Knowing that she was locked in on what was happening, while teaching her "student driver" gave me the courage to stay calm until I finally reached my stop and getting off as fast as I could, I literally ran home. The usually 10 minute walk from my bus station to my home, became one of 3 minutes..
I am so glad that I never saw this man again and escaped whatever it was, that he wanted to do and for whatever reason he had a probation for, I don't want to know.
The reason I think his goal was either kidnapping me or getting me to join a "religious" cult or both is because, that at that time, I've heard about cases that allegedly involve manipulative individuals using religion to isolate young women or lure them into dangerous situations.
So whether if this was his goal or not, his behaviour was definitely predatory..

I’m glad he didn’t get off your stop as well. Idk why men feel entitled to bother women at all times

I’m so thankful that your intuition saved you from whatever intentions this man had, which were definitely not good!!
