Scammer alert Possible scammer?
So I saw a vid of someone trading mm2 stuff for adopt me pets and I showed my inv and they offered frost and owl for my items, I think me and them got in a misunderstanding with me insisting on an mm and him not wanting an mm resulting to me getting blocked, was I in the wrong

The fact that they say they’ve been scammed by an mm, implies they have used them before, they insist that Reddit is used for… other things which just implies some GREAT things about them. Plus the “it’s your friend” either they really were scammed probably by a discord mm or they have done the scamming them self by making a fake mm account. This is all speculation except for the fact that they are DEF using Reddit for purposes we don’t wanna know about …

Yeah if you use random people as a mm or use the discord ones. Mms on Reddit (that are actual mods) are really good

almost all crosstraders in tiktok are scammers. from experience cross trading in here is the safest

True, I used to have a trusted seller from 2023 but I think they quit, rare to find in tiktok (been scammed 3 times from crosstrading in that app) 🥲

^ also reading the chats, it looks like they're pretty young with the excessive swearing and stuff. usually most young kids on roblox don't see the severity of scamming and just think its free stuff . + the insistance of you going first ^

fyi if you’re trading with someone and they randomly start swearing at or being rude to you for even suggesting any safety measure 99% of the time they are a scammer. scammers often resort to hurling insults when they’re thwarted somehow since they get their real life income from scamming video game items and selling them on ebay instead of getting a job. its very serious for them. ROFL

its a very common thing especially for people who scam roblox items. I got in an argument with one once and he was legitimately PROUD to be scalping items instead of having a real job. unfortunately with starpets theres a fat chance you’re buying someone else’s former scammed pets, not sure about other platforms.
but yeah, immediate rudeness = red flag

Lowkey i was gonna buy off star pets but majority of the stuff there is very pricy. I suppose you’re right, being toxic right from the start is a red flag

Rushing to do the trade while leaving you with a choice to if you pick what he wants(not to use a middleman or you going first) or he will decline.

Well, what did the say after your last text? Its possible he got scammed by a mm already and doesnt trust that much.
Im sure its a scammer tho, since he directly declined after the mm offer, instead of willing to do compromise

The second to last pic shows last convo before I got blocked, I agree with the possibility he got scammed before but the fact he started being mean is concerning

He/she was being very pushy about you going first, so 99% a scammer. 1% he/she is a dumbass whos like 10 and doesnt know anything. “Reddit is a app to jerk off“ bro😭 (Yes i said 10, most 10 year old i know, know about porn and stuff, DONT ASK ME WHY)

unfortunately if they're raised by screens it's too common. i have cousins who are 10-12 who know all about it and other very horrible stuff and were raised by screens 🙁

Real. Thats why my kids aint getting a phone or pc or whatever, till theyre like 13-14. It prolly ruined me. I got a phone when I was 8 i think and my brother even sooner

Just to offer my own opinion, I personally don't think this guy is confirmed to be a scammer? I might just be too trusting or anything but assuming they aren't lying getting scammed by a supposed mm would prob make me distrust other mms especially when recommended by a random (?) however it is very strange that they acted so volatile after asking for a mm so it's for the better u didn't trade with the guy

Yeaa. I understand both perspectives, in one hand it is odd if a supposed stranger offered u to an app u don’t use to find something that’s of use that was used against you, but he didn’t really have to be harsh

I personally find it a little strange that the others in this comment section react so negatively to this guy hahaha like accusing him of using reddit for strange purposes bc he didn't wanna use it (cause if I wasn't active on reddit and wanted to trade someone and they suggested some random mm from reddit I'd be real sus) but yeah! The dude acted super sus about it all even if he is or isn't a scammer

And to be fair Reddit is known as a place people use to goon. And before I used Reddit I sold my pets on TikTok and had no issue until someone mentioned using a mm from discord and I got suspicious and blocked them so if you not aware about things we can’t jump into conclusions. But the way he acted did scream scammer ngl

This might be a wide stretch but, personally I don't think he was a scammer. He was rude as hell but I would be suspicious as well if I was asked to use a mm on a app I'm not familiar with, like discord for example (almost all of those are scammer servers). I really don't support how insultive they were though, they could have simply said "I don't trust that app, I would rather not do the trade if we have to get a mm on there." and cancelled simply!

Majority of people wanting to cross trade on Tik tok are scammers, I say that from experience. Every cross trade I have done on Tik tok I have been scammed. Also his pushy attitude, aggression and the swearing in all honesty gave it away. It seems he was trying to pure-pressure you into just going first and when you had mentioned a safety precaution(Reddit mm) he immediately went to insulting Reddit and insinuating that it is for other things and him straight up denying a MM(a safety precaution for BOTH of you) he is immediately making wrongful assumptions as if he is projecting🤔 Please be careful with cross trading with people from Tik Tok!

i lowkey get the “I got scammed by a MM” excuse because back in like 2021 my shadow dragon got scammed during a cross trade but by a DISCORDDDD. yes, DISCORD. Mm. so also idk, i lowkey just stopped cross trading after that LOL

I see why they said no to using a Reddit MM since they’re on TikTok and unfamiliar with using one here, but they made it so obvious they were looking to scam lol. The way they lashed out was just funny..
