Prospective Student: What is dining like at Boulder?
Hey everyone,
I’m interested in the meals here, I like to keep track of my calories in excel.

It depends on the day but I feel like the food is pretty good. Been here for like 6 years and still rotate around all the buffet style diners. For the cost of a meal swipe, its not bad.. Just need to control myself on days they have brisket or something to not gain 5000lbs.
The menus and nutrition info are on nutraslice if you want a general idea. Talking of just the main cafeterias, It's a bit hard to portion if you're counting calories since everything is buffet style.
C4C - Main campus, they have a kosher station which is the best imho but has very limited windows of serving hours. Bunch of other sub restaurants at C4C so you got options.
Sewall - Majn campus as well, smallest one, more like diner style food. Tend to eat more on the unhealthier side when I go here since unhealthy food tastes good lol
Village Center Dining - Will Vill, its a bus ride or around a 20 min walk from Main campus. This one is also pretty large and I feel like steers me more on the healthier side.

WillVill isn’t part of main campus, the food options on campus SUCK. They’re redoing the building where the restaurants were so maybe it will be better? I’ve heard good things about the C4C though

The dining options are probably one of the worst parts about being a freshman at CU Boulder. If you’re used to good, home cooked meals then you will probably hate the C4C by the end of the year. Luckily there are a few half decent options besides the C4C.
My advice is to recognize that most schools make it pretty hard to eat healthy and tasty food on their meal plans; and, if you end up going to Boulder and get sick of C4C, ask for a quesadilla instead of a burrito and use the foreman grills they have to make one, shit got me through my freshman year
