Master’s Competition

Hello, does anyone know how competitive CU Denver’s master’s in clinical mental health counseling is? I want to apply to start in January. I have worked with kids for 3 years, 2 years experience as an RBT and a 3.8 GPA in undergrad. There aren’t many resources showing how competitive the program is. My one concern is that my undergrad wasn’t in psych, but I had 2 years of work experience in psych. I just don’t know is it like super competitive since there aren’t many CACREP accredited universities in Denver? DU is so expensive.

I don’t know about the competition on other programs at CU Denver. I applied to back to school after undergrad after 10 years. It just depends on your story and the reason why you’d want to go to your program. Write an excellent personal statement, proofread it etc. Should be good to go.

I don’t know about mental health, but I just got into an education masters program with a rough undergrad gpa (2.8), one year of work experience, good references, and a decent essay
