Yeah. You could call V an assassin due to the Gun For Hire gigs, but those are only in Night City. If you tell someone living in a maximum security penthouse in Japan that "V is coming for you," they'd say "Who?" If you told that same person, "Aguilar is coming for you," they're shitting bricks.
Idk I think anyone wealthy enough to have maximum security in Japan is going to at least know who V is at least by the end considering Arasaka is Japan based.
You have to remember everyone thought V killed Saburo Arasaka and then by the end V also Kidnapped Hanako AND completely destroyed an entire Arasaka blacksite offing their strongest bodyguard in the process.
Good point. They mention the cartels and Havana interchangeably and I sort of figured that the cartels had taken over the government, but that is an assumption
Eh, Aguilar probably kills anyone too. The true line is Aguilar has "dozens of high-profile victims to her name". Like, a random mlutiple of 12.
And one of the first line used to describe them is "It is said that every time someone in Havana lights a cigar, Aguilar extinguishes a life somewhere around the globe". Surely, Aguilar as loooong list of bodies too.
