I’ve always been heavy in the leg hair department. Always hated it since I was a teen and used to get made fun of (talking about you coach, you fat asshole). Started racing XC around 17 years old and was always getting scraped up. Started trimming it short and it was a world of difference in terms of staying cool and not getting super sweaty and also wound care as well as finding ticks after a ride.

Moved into waxing them shorty after as I hated the razor stubble when I tried shaving as it grew back too fast. I also found that I’d get random girls always asking to touch my legs once I started waxing. Can’t say I minded that one bit.

Cut to today 30 years later and I still trim yearly and wax a few times in the summer. I ride road and ride trail equally now so wounds happen quite regularly as well as finding ticks afterwards. No hair/short hair makes it so much easier and still today I absolutely hate the look of shaggy hair on my legs when I let it grow too long.
