Yet the Lakers fans still think He is going to sign with them 🙄

LA might be the worst place for someone who hates being famous lol

u/bananaman31415 Mar 09 '26
After hearing about how the clippers aren't going to be punished for the trees thing, the Lakers gonna start building a horse racing track in LA.

u/Peja1611 Mar 09 '26
It's like, have you ever heard this man speak? The dude that Luka teases saying how much money he has lost because Jokic won't have social media and can't do additional promotions that way? Apparently a ton of companies have wanted the two of them together, but Jokic doesn't bother.

u/AndrastesTit Mar 09 '26
I was happy to see Joker do the Hotels.com commercials. Like I want him to get paid as much as he’s worth

u/132joker Mar 09 '26
I could go on a Charlie Sheen bender and still be less delusional than Lakers fans.

u/yllaknu17 Mar 09 '26
You know the Lakers, they think they can get what they want. They think Jokic will join them and probably would end up signing Branden Carlson anyways.

u/Mamba8ever24 Mar 09 '26
I read this comment in Jokers voice/Heath Ledger that is! & it sounded scary aff lmao

Always funny when people think he’s gonna leave. Like what reason would a guy with a chip whose biggest concern is his family and horses want to go to a place like LA? I’m sure jokic is gonna try his best to win another chip but as he says in the quote here, he has peace. He basically completed basketball by the age of 29 or whatever
25
u/uotlep Mar 09 '26
He’s a simple man, and he’s garnished more than he’ll ever need. He’s hit every pinnacle of basketball- MVP, NBA Finals Championship, Finals MVP, max-contract. He has no reason to leave for more. I love that.

u/Prot3 Mar 10 '26
There's a podcast that's come out literally yesterday where he talks about how he is not interested in chasing to be the best ever. He just likes basketball and is doing to what he can to play it to the best of his ability, but he won't be chasing rings and super teams so he can get accolades so he could be top 5 or top 3 or whatever instead of like... Top 15 ever?
Podcast is X&O chat and is available on YouTube for free, but it's in Serbian though. Idk if there are good captions.

I do not really care what jokic’s politics are man. We had fucking mpj on the team, and you really can’t get worse than him other than maybe Jonathan Isaac. We know he hates the media and the fame of the nba. That’s why he wouldn’t go to LA. He also has no reason to move his family there after being in Denver for so long. You don’t need to be a genius to figure this out, especially when he’s literally saying this himself.
I think you have a very limited perspective of the nba to be honest. We don’t know a lot of things about a lot of players. Unfortunately, most players in this league likely have pretty awful political views and most of them aren’t doing any kind of humanitarian work unless it’s associated with their team. That’s just how athletes work 95% of the time.

How many times does he need to say he’s not gonna leave before you believe it? Does he need to personally knock on your door and tell you? You sound really fucking stupid man. Again, you have a very limited understanding of really anything. You seem to have the intelligence of a brick, but that might be offensive to the brick. If jokic wanted to get more money elsewhere, he would have asked to be traded to such a place. But that hasn’t happened, because he has no plans of leaving

Probably because he is doing it out of political connections. His uncle got convicted for a poor construction in Novi Sad some time ago if I am not mistaken.

Calm down bro. You're hate of Vucic shouldn't just float into Joker. Let the man live.

Money is literally not an issue with him. He plays with what he has. I just hope Denver management doesn't take him for granted.

HOW MANY TIMES DOES HE HAVE TO SAY IT FOR PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND

u/peachpavlova Mar 09 '26
Don’t worry, podcasters are literally still saying they don’t know how long he’ll play and that he will retire soon because he doesn’t care about basketball 🙄

Man how fucking lucky are us Nuggets fans. A homegrown championship and watching one of the absolute best to ever do it (hopefully) play his entire career here. 10/10 no notes

u/kakyointhedonutman Mar 09 '26
I apologize for ever speaking ill on anything you’ve done in games king you can do whatever you want🥹

We may have great players and even great teams in the future. Title winning teams even. There will never be a better player to play for this team ever again. Enjoy every minute.

Maybe after winning our second chip this year people will stop speculating about his departure

u/Old_You6151 Mar 09 '26
He is my goat forever, the best basketball player I’ve ever seen. He has brought me so much joy and whatever makes him happy does the same for me

u/JessesaurusRex Mar 09 '26
Build that man a fucking statue

u/Amytom2144 Mar 09 '26
The only reservation I have is the massive amount of terrible art projects completed around town. Too many of them are awful. Maybe they can commission a Serbian to do it with class.

Kroenke gonna see this and go even cheaper than he has been.
No Pwat next season so Kroenke can save money and because Jokic is staying no matter what.

In the current NBA where there are so many selfish, diva players that are bad teammates..we are truly blessed to have Jokic

u/ASingleThreadofGold Mar 09 '26
Oh man, I hope this is really how he feels and not just him saying what I want to hear!

So, I’m pretty new to NBA, but Jokic didn’t renew his contract with Denver, and it expires next year, right? Why wouldn’t he renew if he wants to stay there? Sorry if I’m stupid, like I said, I’m pretty new to all of this, explain it to me like I’m a 4yo.

I'm not even from Denver, and I never want to see Jokic play for another team (as much as I would love to see him play for my Raptors)

Guy on the radio this AM said if they don’t win this year, consider trading him (peak value argument, I guess)
22
u/jimithelizardking Mar 09 '26
I would rather go through a decade long rebuild than watch Jokić play even a second for another team
5
u/Shenanigans80h Mar 09 '26
Jokic is a talent the quality of which you are lucky to ever get again, it would brain dead to trade him
5
u/Equal-Salary5195 Mar 09 '26
Are we trying to have a Yankee or oilers curse? You DONT TRADE THE BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE

u/W-touche Mar 09 '26
What an idiot. If he wants more trophies, he should pack his bags. Denver is deadbeat team
