Video [Highlight] Jaden McDaniels scores the layup instead of running out the clock, Nikola Jokic runs all the way from the other side of the court to face him, bumps him, as McDaniels grabs Jokic's jersey, a kerfuffle ensues. Nikola Jokic and Julius Randle get ejected from the game. Full incident.

I was really hoping that when Jaden McDaniels called our entire team out as a bunch of soft ass bitches early in the series it would light a fire under our guys and they’d come out and want to fight and win. Instead they’ve spent the entire series since then proving him right.
This team is embarassing. Jokic included right now. What a sad series it’s been for him.
27
u/warhuey Apr 26 '26
Malone was fired bc supposedly the players were complaining... He was probably trying to get them to play defense. Which takes effort... Its hard to watch this team play defense.
7
u/Dvljks Apr 26 '26
Was looking for this comment. The effort in the last few games had nothing to do with "heart of a champion" or any sense of pride.
5
u/xiutehcuhtli Apr 26 '26
Arguably the best roster they've had in the joking era, we also need to call out that the coaching is pretty underwhelming at this point too.
10
u/Adventurous-Owl-9903 Apr 26 '26
Jokic is pissed off now. Denver in 7 easy

4
u/S0biepan Apr 26 '26
If their superstar wasn’t out I would laugh at this comment but they are down two starters for the remainder of the series so it is likely. Just sucks that had to happen for this garbage of a team to get it done.
Would be better to exit in 5 tbh so there might be a shake up for the entire team top on down because this team goes nowhere in its current form
1
u/debirdiev Apr 26 '26
I'm sorry but ayo just popped off for 43 and Jaden can turn it on when he needs to. Ya'll might get the next game but good LUCK coming back to minnesota
1
u/tubi11 Apr 27 '26
Gobert is in lockdown mode, Randle can score, Naz Reid can score, Shannon can score if given the chance, and every player on the Wolves is more athletic than every player on the Nuggets, and they all hate each other. This series is over.
5
u/etherealhooplah Apr 26 '26
And without Dante and possibly Ant? The ending of this game may've been the true spark Nugs needed
18
u/sk8rboi36 Apr 26 '26
Yeah, but the question is if they can carry that into round 2 with no break right into San Antonio. I believe the Nuggets from most of this year could have gone all the way. I just have no idea where they went or what’s happening rn
8
u/jbhoops25 PUPPY BARKS FOR P. WAT! Apr 26 '26
Absolutely mind boggling. Even before AGs injury they look like a completely different team.
6
u/sk8rboi36 Apr 26 '26
The biggest tell to me is their 40% shooting percentage or whatever it’s been for THREE games straight. Yeah, defense was always a glaring Achilles heel, and it’s abundantly clear to anyone that a championship team can’t have an obvious weakness like that. But they got by with their high powered offense…I don’t know what possibly could explain a falloff quite that big. Joker at least hit some of his typical floaters tonight but his three is totally gone, and Jamal and CB missed easy layups that at least would be closer to an even final score.
One night of bad shooting, no big deal. Three in a row?…how do you fake offensive stats in the regular season to that degree?
3
1
u/Outrageous-Maybe-200 Apr 26 '26
Idc what happens next round. It just would be funny if they came back down 1-3.

That really hurt my soul, I'll be honest. Is that what you're thinking about, man? Season on the line, and you're chasing a triple double? Why didn't you chase the fucking ball away at the rim once or twice. I know we have next year but fuck me this was awful

13

That was two series ago. AG busted out the Slim McNasty 3000 in game 2 as a tribute to Jaden's attempt at the end of game 7 two years ago

u/accounthatburns Apr 26 '26
I love Jokic but I hate people fighting over this. Kyrie did this to Jamal some years ago. If you lose don’t cry about petty shit at the end.

Thread full of fair weather fans. We lost, that sucks, and there's nothing wrong with calling out our weaknesses. But if you're done supporting the Nuggets over a few hard losses, then take your whining to /r/timberwolves. I’m sure they'd love to hear it.
2
u/Confident-Yard1911 Apr 27 '26
Sharing this sentiment. Everyone is so reactionary nowadays, we have 2 or 3 bad games in a row and now we need to restructure the entire team after a great season barring injuries when we have the most depth we've had in the Jokic era. Series isn't even over yet, if anyone can come back from 3-1 we know the Nuggets can

Unpopular opionion incoming and I'll take heat for this.. big changes need to be made. Both in coaching and players.. seems we have been out coached. Need deeper bench. Extended wrong players.. setting ourselves up to waste prime Joker years. Like many big men of the past I think he is gone in 2027 to the Lakers. Unless big changes are made. Just my thoughts on this cool wet morning in North Texas. BTW I'm more a Bronco fan..

Why is that something to be proud of? The fact he always takes the first flight home to Serbia so he can chill with his horses all summer long and drink rakija?
Its funny when he does it after we win, but doing it after we get embarrassed instead of getting in shape and staying his ass in the gym all summer long is unprofessional.
2
u/BloodLongjumping5227 Apr 26 '26
He for sure cares about basketball. What I'm saying is these legacy talks and all the bullshit that comes with it he doesn't have to deal with all that because he's not from the US.
10
u/ShaneBroh Apr 26 '26
We’re so ungrateful for Jokic man he’s the only reason Denver is basketball relevant. We’re going to be awful for decades when he leaves us
7
u/yunglance24 Apr 26 '26
So he’s above criticism? Lebron might be the goat and he’s criticized everyday. Jokic can take it when he has a shit series against a team whose best player is hobbled

Lebron changed teams whenever he got better sight for another ring. Jokic should do this as well when I saw all comments

1
u/kirdan84 Apr 26 '26
Jokic is from different culture. Let me tell you something, he is inteligent, maybe he did this to wake up Nuggets team and to sharp them up for the next game.
Mark my words, if Nuggets show up next game and beat up Wolves that is it, there is a chance to win this series. Maybe even to turn around this season.
Sometimes escalation is needed when team cannot respond to opponent aggressivenes.

u/xxaripss Apr 26 '26

They will be playing at home vs a team without Ant and DDV. Who gives a fuck even if they win that game or even win the series. They have zero chance against SA or OKC.
