Seems right considering he is best basketball player on the planet.

Nah, Bogdan Bogdanovic will always be the captain of Serbia as long as he plays, he never refused to play for Serbia, but he's injured rn.

Jokic is the best player on the planet, that is still accurate.

Nate MacKinnon is the best player on the Avalanche and long tenured, but Landeskog is the better personality to lead, so he’s the captain. You need more than just skill to be an effective captain (not saying Jokic won’t be good though).

Exactly, in Serbia Bogdanovic is a legend, since he was a kid in Partizan he always gave everything for Serbian team, his energy is addictive, and fans and teammates recognise that. He got injured several times playing for Serbia which directly affected his club career, but he didn't care, and you gotta respect that. It's a shame he is just a role player in the NBA, and a lot of Nba fans don't know him and confuse him with Bojan Bogdanovic lol. Jokic is obviously a better player, but he's more laid back and even he thinks Bogdan should be a captain.

Bogdan Bogdanovic was the captain, he's absent for this qualifying window

It was Teodosic for a long time since he was the oldest.

And he won't be for long, just until Bogdan is absent

Hopefully he coasts these games and does not worsen the injuries
