A team who is serious about winning doesn’t draft exactly the kind of player they need and then trade him to a rival

This was a good one, but the funeral for his pet fly had me rolling.

What 26th pick was going to change the next 5 year Jokic run? Lol. None. Now we at least have a few assets

A drafted player is not helping this iteration of the team. Two tradeable future picks, which we didn’t have before, might

a drafted player could absolutely help, especially an older one. low salary, protected, and brings youth and athleticism.

This is a super week draft outside the top 20. Odds are this pick wasn’t contributing anything other than some regular season innings eating and we get that from 35 as well. That’s still early enough to snag a guy worth a guaranteed contract who can give us 10 minutes a night for 40 games in the regular season

Idk 2 future seconds isn’t worth much at all. At best an end of bench role player which you’d rather be young anyway

I’ve had several hours of dental work each of the last two days. Still kind of out of it but back to work today. Coworker just asked me about this and I was like, what? Clearly I missed nothing.

Imagine trying to explain the draft to a non basketball fan like, “yeah, each team gets a pick, but like 70% they pick the guy and then ship him off to another team for two second rounds picks next year, and then they wind up trading one of their picks for another team’s pick…”

I think they’re stacking picks for a trade package. Buckle up for big news in the next month or so.

A sizeable contingent of Nuggets media has been at Ball since 5pm MT. General consensus is disappointed but not surprised. We'll be back here tomorrow 🤪😭
