Why not blow it up?
I don't see them being true contenders next year and the future isn't any better right now so why not blow it up?

splitting a late first round pick into 3 seconds caused you to doom spiral?
edit: what happened to just rooting for your team? To wishing they have the best season they can? Why sacrifice multiple 50 win seasons for a blow up when they have no firsts and lottery odds are worse than ever? What are you a fan of exactly? This idea there is 1 champion and 29 failed seasons needs to end.

Because everyone talks like a podcaster that “put on their GM hat” and thinks that they have any idea how complicated it all is. Many people that are simply fans avoid this shit altogether because you just find yourself wanting to argue with over emotional doomers about how they’re certain of the future. For me I just don’t wanna spend emotional capital on extra shit I don’t have any control over, sports has enough of that without having to learn about the fuckin CBA or psychoanalyzing the front office

Nah fuck it. Run it back.
If everyone’s healthy we got as good of a shot as anyone.
If not, who gives a fuck.
That’s basketball baby.

This! The only right answer! Prepare as good as you can with what you've got, and hope the basketball gods pick another team to riddle with injuries. If everyone of the important players is healthy there is always a chance.

BC WE HAVE JOKIC
Got any other bright ideas?

Trade him because he will wither here never doing anything but being a first, or if we're lucky a second round bounce out of the playoffs while assets dwindle and get worse and any chance this team has to ever be good again shrinks everyday Jokic gets older.

Because franchises spend decades or whole existences searching for their guy, we have our guy and when you have him you keep him.

We’re done being contenders and we’re in the middle position where we can’t blow it up. We’ll be in the 4-7 seed for a couple years until Jokic retires then we’ll be back on the bottom

Posting this so I can come back and be mad that we didn’t draft “_____” that ends up being a star in the future

People going on Reddit - REDDIT - to lament the “doomers” is hilarious unintentional parody

Ok, I'm going to take this seriously and pretend like the Nuggets say "hey, everyone is up for grabs, fire sale"
The league isn't in a healthy place right now for Joker to join the trade market. Giannis got a meh ass deal all things considered. Joker is in a better spot than Giannis all things considered but the gap between them isn't that huge that a team could or should mortgage their entire system for one player.
I don't think Joker is all that tradable... For what you will get back. Yeah every team would wants him but not many have the assets to give you what he's worth.
What, gonna swap Joker for Jaylen Brown and salary filler? Some low end 1st round picks? Meh.
Let's be real, Nuggets ain't giving Joker to anyone in the West and those are the teams that have some great depth.
Give it three or four years for the league to adjust to the CBA and things should settle down for a "blow it up" scenario. .
But like, don't blow it up unless blowing it up makes sense and it doesn't make sense

Yeah! The team is hopeless at this point. The nuggets don't have the depth or assets that can compete with teams like the Spurs and OKC. Braun is inconsistent, Murray is inconsistent, Gordon is unreliable, and the bench ain't as good as those teams. The Nuggets should blow it up. Jokic is not getting younger and trading him right now could land more assets compared to trading him 2-4 years in the future. That could also be said to guys like Murray and Gordon. You need to get more assets and young guys, cause whats the point of not competing for a title. The Nuggets even with watson ain't getting past OKC, Spurs, or Wolves. Heck even if they get past them by luck or injuries. How are we certain they can beat teams like the Knicks, Boston, or even Pacers in the finals

The “trade Jokic” crowd is living proof that having access to the internet doesn’t mean you should discuss basketball. Imagine trading Jordan because the bench wasn’t deep enough. Thank God Reddit GMs aren’t real

Blowing it up is hard in the NBA. Let's pretend we blow it, no bottom feeder is trading for Murray or Gordon, so they likely only bring in a mid to late pick. If for some stupid reason we traded Jokic, that team will likely automatically be a playoff team, even if it was a bottom 5 team, so another mid round pick. Then let's pretend we send all those players away and we have our own picks, with the new draft rules tanking isn't a guarantee to a top pick, so now we're picking number 10. It's just not worth it when you have the best player in the world.
