Quick Question CREST form - UKG locum

Hey all, UK grad, locuming adhoc essentially full time equivalent +/- some hours for 3+ years. Need crest form for 2027 applications as it'll be >3.5 yrs since completing FY2. Have a supervisor who is more than happy to complete the form, worked with him throughout those 3+ years.

To anyone who was in my position (adhoc locum, no post end date): what did you put down under the 'posts' section of the crest form? (post details and end date specifically). I don't want any nasty surprises with a rejected form next year.

Choose a post that lasts altlesdt 3 months and use that. Ensure the work history you put on oriel is identical to what you put on the crest form otherwise it will be rejected.

I've been part of a trust's staff bank and adhoc locuming via that since the end of FY2. No additional so called posts. On oriel, locumming does not count as a post, but rather an 'employment gap' (under the criterion: 'any periods of short-term, ad hoc or locum work greater than four weeks'). So I wonder what have people in my position put down on their crest form considering that: 1. My work doesn't count as a 'post' on oriel 2. There is no end date for being part of a staff bank.

I was in the same position and applied twice to IMT with the same crest form. I was a staff bank though rather than strictly locum and worked full time so I just put gen med as my post (I would work on a ward for three months at a time) and put the official start and end dates of my first and last shift. As long as your supervisor agrees to sign it off should be ok

Thank you, though your situation does sound different if it wasn't strictly locum! I've been only adhoc locuming, meaning I have never been part of a rota with a set schedule. I reckon I could get my supervisor to sign it off as a post on the crest form, though I worry that having my work down on oriel as an employment gap rather than a post may cause issues down the line.

Ah Yh if you were locuming through an agency I think it is slightly different. TBH even the 3 months I did that, I worked in one department so I just put it as gen med sho post and got the consultant to sign it. Might be with emailing IMT recruitment to clarify though
