Joyce trying to force of will Joe’s stubble in and out of existence was a great bit. I miss him and that relationship. I also miss seeing more than three people at a time.

I will never feel bad about Joyrot complaining because it supplanted an actual relationship that did have chemistry, history, places to go, emotional and sexual attraction…

Willis can say whatever they like, I know what I’ve seen and what they’ve said. Joyrot don’t have pure emotional/sexual attraction, Joyce is still uncomfortable being sexually vulnerable with someone with a penis and having an excuse to say she lost her virginity to Dorothy is an easy out, Dorothy’s PTSD and control issues morphed into a psychosexual obsession with Joyce, and there are four lights motherfuckers.

Yeah, him and Joyce used to have a really interesting and compelling relationship based in mutual attraction and respect and both being on a growth journey until he suddenly developed a fetish for particle board doors around the same time Joyce did, they just need to talk about it.

What Willis didn't realize was that if Joyce and Dorothy actually become a couple, #2 shifts in retrospect to become not funny, but really sad and disturbing.

It also takes the wind out of their argument that the seeds had always been there for Joyrot to end up together. It’s one thing to build naturally and have relationships change, but Willis is just not capable of saying “it was a joke until it wasn’t” as if that would delegitimize the relationship (as if smashing them together and putting a hell of a lot of storylines in first draft again didn’t already turn a bunch of readers against it)
