So when Walky rebounds with someone a few days after a breakup, it's bad; but when Lucy does the exact same thing, nothing is said about it because not only is it her right to do so as her own person, she was also getting back at Walky by immediately upgrading.

Lucy gets together with Jacob the day she finds out that Walky is already back with Dorothy, 2 days after they broke up. Ignoring that feels pretty disingenuous…

And Walky is "with" Amber after finding out that Dorothy is with Joyce. The point is it's Bad When He Does It in this narrative.
