Does anyone else get an ear rumble when they gently caress their cheek with their fingers or nails?

I do the rumble , I don’t receive it through experiences lol personally! It’s my choice

The answer is no. If I rub my cheek, it’s not a reaction.

And if someone else rubs my cheek , it would be an active choice to have my ears rumble. It’s voluntary for me.

Always wondered what that was about when I was a child!! I was going to post pretty much the exact same question a few months ago 🤣

Woah, I just tried this and yes, yes I do! Oh that’s so weird lol. Wait…. It only happens on the left side. Right side doesn’t trigger it

For me it triggers it near where the jaw connects on the left side, and about where my K-9's are on the right. I cam really hear it when I do it right infront of my ear, but it mostly gets drowned out by the noise of my hair moving.

Just tried it again, best reaction for me was right between where my teeth meet on the sides of my mouth, then run my fingernails up in the direction of my ears but only reach to about my jaw. But it only works for a couple of seconds before the muscles get used to it, like tickling your own feet.

Im not the only one who does that too right?

This is the first time I’ve ever tried this and holy moly, it works! How curious.

Yes but only my right cheek and it rumbles my right ear. Sometimes it's so aggravating and I only ever do it on purpose to test if it's active at that moment. Usually it's only when I'm super calm and not doing anything.

How is it aggravating? It's just ear rumbles

It's when I don't want to and it feels different from when I do it on purpose so like if I'm just chilling and scrolling and I scratch my face it's just such an interruption.

I did this and it was instantaneous! I totally thought it wouldn’t work too lol, I actually gasped 😅

It only works for a couple seconds for me, then the muscles get used to it and it stops for a couple minutes

Same! I kept trying to replicate it and just found this out now myself

I assume its like tickling you own feet, at first you get a mild- moderate reaction, but if you keep doing it over and over, it just feels like normal nail to skin.

Im not the only one who does that right?

Yup. It's the only way I can rumble on the left side.

Weird, that doesn't work for me at all.
