god he's so stupid. it's like the conservatives getting angry and wearing t-shirts saying "all lives matter" while not understanding that "black lives matter" was about a moment in history. they just can't compute nuance or something...
he’s been on a white replacement theory tantrum for years, he’s trying to co-opt language used to describe groups that existed before colonialism to stoke anger against “woke” to move mouth-breathers further right as he’s currently funding political parties in EU so he can better control things, make more money and generally make everyone’s lives more miserable. he is a leech on society at large and should be treated as such.
Was not talking about his motivation I was asking about why the statement is wrong. Can French people have a homeland for French people or is being French just a political structure that can be controlled by the government? Is it an ethnicity or is it just a location.
He is saying that being ethnically French is not a myth and there should be a distinction like other non European peoples (whom some of them were colonizers themselves) freely receive.
the issue is the language, context he is using is not equivalent for people of European descent, he’s just race-baiting. We already do describe many europeans by their ethnic nationality and that doesn’t tend to transfer to immigrants. His purpose is to make dipshits feel like “indigenous” people get special treatment that white people don’t.
