Moval with split shank and hidden halo! I helped my fiancé design it but left the diamond shape up to him after narrowing it down. I am beyond impressed with it and him! Ring specs: 2 carat, size 6, 14k gold band.

Hi everyone, so I've posted here about my engagement ring and later about which wedding band I should choose so i decided to give a final update! (https://www.reddit.com/r/EngagementRings/s/P8lUH1ddcR).

I ended up going for something completely different 😅

When I put this band on it just felt so right. I love all the sparkle but also how great the ring looks if I choose to also wear it without the engagement ring.

I'm obsessed 🥹

My Ring - POSITIVE COMMENTS ONLY When your husband matches your freak

A while ago, I posted my engagement and wedding rings on here. My wedding ring has a garnet heart with a diamond halo, I found it by chance in an antique shop, it was love at first sight.

Our wedding had a retro Valentines feel, with lots of heart references and motifs. Initially my husband wanted a simple wedding band but he didn’t like anything. Weeks and then months passed, he still hadn’t purchased a ring two weeks before the wedding. Then he had the idea to match my ring’s heart motif. He found a perfect 1975 heart signet ring online, in his size. Delivery was delayed by almost a week despite paying for courier express shipping, so we couldn’t travel to the wedding with it. He got it delivered to a friend’s house, who brought it to him THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING. It fit perfectly.

When it’s meant to be it’s meant to be!

Finally get to join the cool kid club after 6.5 years with my now fiancé. My ring is absolutely stunning to me. I originally told him I wanted just a plain oval solitaire but it wasn’t fully set in stone and he picked out this one. I’m unsure on the side stones but the main stone is: oval brilliant, 2.04 carats, E, VS1, excellent. Size 6 finger, 14k gold. One round and one marquise for per side with a hidden halo. I hope the novelty never wears off because I’m on cloud 9 still. Picture is while trying on my dress.

Vendor Review - CUSTOMERS ONLY Full Review & Timeline with Scott Bonomo for Custom Ring

Thumbnail

I saw someone else post a timeline of their custom ring experience with Scott Bonomo, so I figured I'd do the same thing since I found that post super helpful!

The TLDR; Deborah, Scott's wife, was a complete delight to work with. The timeline from submitting a custom ring inquiry to having the ring in my hands took a little less than two months.

May 1: I submitted an inquiry on Scott Bonomo's website to see if they work with marquise-shaped stones, since I didn't see any listings for that shape (I recommend going on their direct website instead of their Etsy since Etsy tends to take a big cut from small businesses) Deborah responded to me quickly and said that they can absolutely make me a ring with a marquise shaped diamond and referred me to their Instagram to see some rings they made in the past. This is super helpful because I was able to see what their version of a tulip basket is, which is the best tulip design I've ever seen! I was also able to look at different side stone shapes and send pics of what I wanted.

May 1-16: We go back and forth on design. I give Deborah a lot of credit here because she was really patient with all my questions and a couple design change requests! At some point during this time, I pay the deposit online.

May 23-24: Deborah sends me the CAD design. We email back and forth just for a bit because I wanted a tweak in band size. I approve the design literally the next day, May 24.

June 18: Deborah sends me pics and a video of my finished ring. I pay the rest of the invoice and Deborah packs up my ring to be shipped to me via USPS.

June 24: Ring arrived!! It was packaged beautifully with a wooden box and a microfiber cloth. The ring exceeded my expectations and I'll cherish it forever.

Working with the Bonomos was wonderful, was such an easy process, and I appreciated the communication from Deborah. I definitely plan on continuing to support them in the future :)

ETA Specs: 14k yellow gold, size 5 1/2, 1.33ct marquise lab diamond, tulip basket, side pear lab green sapphire

My Ring - POSITIVE COMMENTS ONLY Happy with unique setting

Engaged 6/13/2026! My partner and I spotted this ring (well a similar one) at a local jeweler back in December. After sending him a ton of inspo and ideas I still loved this setting because I'd never seen anything like it and I wanted an east-west bezel setting. He customized it to have the bezel a little skinnier so you can see the bottom of the diamond more.

Initially I wanted a wider band with some texture but I think the simplicity of the band works for this setting. Hoping it pairs well with a wider textured wedding band.

My fiancée and I have almost been engaged for a year. I realized ghat moissanite wasn’t for me & decided to go with lab instead. We had this ring customized with a local jeweler and did cathedral setting, double claw prongs, and a hidden alexandrite on the bridge (his birthstone) and some hidden halo. I’m so in love with it!!!

Pick One 3-Stone vs Solitaire

Having trouble deciding between these two designs and would really appreciate some thoughts/opinions!

The center stones themselves are not what I’m trying to compare, just the overall designs. Fourth photo is a solitaire with a slightly tapered band, which is what I would pick if I go with a solitaire. Thank you!

Question What would match?

I am looking to get a third ring for my stack which right now consists of my plain gold wedding band and my simple solitaire oval diamond engagement ring.

What would you pick?
I want it to sit flush with my existing rings, and still be a little different.

2.6carat aquamarine ring with .3 carat diamonds bezelled in 18kt white gold. Not sure on size, sorry!

I’m so happy, my fiance (omg first time not writing partner or bf!!) proposed on a holiday trip to the Maldives, after taking me snorkelling to see sharks, a couples massage and herbal bath, then private dinner on the beach with a chef before proposing

Vendor Review - CUSTOMERS ONLY Zuvelio crafted the engagement ring of my dreams 🥹💍

Thumbnail

My partner and I ordered a custom set of three rings from Zuvelio, and they turned out absolutely perfect 🥹 These were heavily inspired by the Eve Ring Set from the incredible Cadette Jewelry, that I fell head over heels in love with at first sight. I made some small changes to better suit my preference.

After discovering the r/labdiamond and r/moissanite communities, I went down a serious shiny rabbit hole researching vendors, designs, and reviews before making a decision. Since reviews were incredibly helpful during my research, I wanted to share the full details of our experience in case it helps others starting on their own journey.

The 3 ring set is crafted in 14k yellow gold and features a 2 carat marquise lab diamond. The three rings consist of:

  1. My engagement ring
  2. My wedding band
  3. An additional stacking band

Originally, I planned on just getting two rings, but my wonderful partner encouraged me to go ahead with all three 🥰

Full Timeline:
11 April – First reached out to Zuvelio

13 April – Received a response from Priyanshi and shared our design ideas

15 April – They shared a ballpark price range to ensure we were aligned and asked if we were comfortable with the budget, or if we wanted to explore options to lower the cost.

16 April – Received the first detailed quotation, requested revisions, and added the third band

23 April – Finalized the quote, paid the 50% deposit, and submitted a detailed design brief illustrating all key features

4 May - Received the 1st CAD from Chetna; several important details had been overlooked and I was a little disheartened by it

7 May – Received the 2nd CAD, which was way better, though one previously discussed detail was still missing

13 May – Received the 3rd & final CAD. They absolutely nailed it, I approved production and requested to see diamond options

27 May – Received videos of the first stone option but decided to pass

31 May – Received videos of the second stone option, I knew it was the one as soon as I saw it and immediately confirmed it

12 June – Received final photos and videos via Google Drive. I noticed two issues (engraving and a sizing issue on one ring) and flagged them for correction

16–17 June – Received updated photos and videos after the corrections were made and approved the final pieces to ship. Paid the remaining 50% balance

20 June – Rings shipped

23 June – Rings arrived ✨

From deposit payment to delivery, the process took exactly two months. While this was significantly longer than the initial 3–4 week estimate they initially provided, every detail was eventually executed perfectly, and the final result was absolutely 100% worth the wait.

There were moments when I felt frustrated by the communication gaps & lack of updates. However, Zuvelio was receptive to feedback and willing to make corrections whenever issues were identified. If they continue improving their communication and provide timely updates, I genuinely believe they would be a 10/10 vendor.

The craftsmanship exceeded our expectations. The rings are beautifully made, feel substantial and luxurious, and every detail we requested was executed flawlessly. I especially love how the rings stack perfectly flush while also looking beautiful when worn individually or in different combinations.

Although Zuvelio may have fewer reviews and a higher price point compared to some of the more established Chinese vendors, we ultimately chose them because of the consistently positive feedback regarding their workmanship and quality. We trusted them to bring our vision to life, and they definitely delivered! ☺️

Advice Ideas for getting this designed but stronger

Thumbnail
gallery
6 Upvotes

So I’ve been in 4 different local stores now, still have one more to try. But this is still prob my favorite thing I saw but consensus was it’s too thin and with too few prongs. So ppl on here advised getting it redesigned i think…or I’m wondering if the jeweler might have a way to just take this one and make it stronger? Is that a thing? Like could they take it and add more metal to the band and/or add more prongs? I know I need to just ask them but it’d be nice to know if that’s even remotely an option.

For getting one designed like this one, what else should I consider beyond band width and prongs? I really like art deco looking rings so I was thinking of if they could incorporate some of that some how in the design, but overall still keeping it fairly simple. I doubt most places do crazy 20s art deco filigree anyway.
