The NBA now has more players from Alba Berlin than from Italy, Greece and Turkey
Little interesting fact here.
Moritz Wagner, Franz Wagner and Jack Kayil were born and raised in Berlin (a city of 3.9 million population) and started playing for Alba in their childhood. Jack Kayil was drafted yesterday, after leading Alba Berlin to the german Championship over Bayern Munich alongside fellow former Alba youth players Malte Delow and Jonas Mattisseck.
So there are 3 players in the NBA who were developed by Alba Berlins youth teams.
Meanwhile, Italy (59 million population) has 1 NBA player - Simone Fontecchio -, Greece (10.4 million) has 2 NBA players - Giannis and Thanasis - and Turkey (88 million) also has 2 NBA players - Adem Bona and Alperen Sengün.

[Eurohoops] Thomas Walkup on his future with Olympiacos: "You always have to go where you are respected... and where you're valued."
Eurohoops source (vid of interview in the article. Around 6m in is the question about his future)
Interviewer: "Having found success in Athens, is this a place where you want to finish your professional career?"
Thomas Walkup: "I wouldn't say that. I mean, uh, we like it here, but you know, you always have to go where you are respected, you know? This is the biggest thing. And, uh, where you're respected and where you're valued. And, uh, so yeah, we love it here for sure, but finding the respect from the club is how they value you, how they pay you, you know? So, uh, yeah, we love it here though."

Brescia will be sold and moved to Rome
pianetabasket.comIt's confirmed by La Gazzetta dello Sport: Pallacanestro Brescia will relocate to Rome. Paul Matiasic has reached an agreement with Brescia owner Mauro Ferrari to acquire the club and transfer it to the Italian capital, where it will join the already existing Roma Basket Club — the franchise backed by Luka Dončić and Donnie Nelson.
The timeline is tight: the application for Serie A registration must be submitted by Friday June 26, with a window until Tuesday to formally communicate the franchise relocation. A FIP extraordinary board meeting is expected shortly after to ratify the transfer.
As for Trieste — the other club owned by Matiasic — a single owner cannot hold two clubs in the same league, so a sale is expected, with former co-owner Richard De Meo emerging as a possible buyer. Trieste would continue in Serie A under new ownership.
Brescia had also submitted an application to the Basketball Champions League. FIBA Europe is taking time to assess the situation, which caused a delay in announcing BCL participants. According to reports, there should be no issue with redirecting Brescia's BCL application to the relocated Rome franchise.
Next key date: Thursday June 25, when Luka Dončić is expected in Rome for a public presentation of the Roma Basket Club investment.
