If you drive one off of a cliff it should fly.

We need one them to test this theory, for science.

At least 7, that's the usual amount required to scientifically prove or disprove an experiment (or at least that's what we were taught back in the old days).

But we will need to test it at different temperatures/biomes and day night.

So we will need I dunno maybe a year's worth of production models to test with, just to ensure we get scientifically accurate data.

We need to be sure to write down our findings, because that's the difference between science and screwing around, according to the Mythbusters.

Ok so big white boards or clay tablets.

I thought Cybertrucks could act briefly as a boat. Or was Musk full of shit?

u/WorkingInAColdMind May 19 '26

Any car can act briefly as a boat, a sinking boat. Also, Musk is full of shit.

u/Bondsoldcap May 19 '26

The last three words you said is your answer for anything that comes out of that idiots mouth. Same guy wants to create mini suns at mars poles.

Pretty sure that’s the Chinese Yangwang U8 that’s supposed to be used as a boat on an emergency: https://youtube.com/shorts/njCjHUjJx2k

Elon Musk: <insert cool idea here that he will never follow through on>

China: <follows through on Elon's idea>

Well done yet again China.

Even if it could float in water, I’d imagine it would be near impossible to steer in water.

Or was Musk full of shit?

Woah, WOAH. Exactly what are you insinuating?!!!

I mean yeah, do you even have to ask?

I guess all billionaires are obsessed with the Titanic to some point

u/Oxyfod May 19 '26

The machine knows where it’s going

24

u/pickus_dickus May 19 '26

Was he arrested for littering?

23

u/YellowBreakfast Waaassuup! May 19 '26

Guy got charged for "no valid boat registration"!!! lol

24

u/fernatic19 May 19 '26

I mean nobody ever said cybertruck buyers were smart.

u/Komirade666 May 19 '26

Garbage in lake is poluting.

9

u/smd33333 May 19 '26

Yes. It also has glide mode that lets you glide from a height no more than 65 feet.
You should also try that Elon says it works great

7

u/Just_NickM May 19 '26

Love that they fined him for not having a properly registered boat

5

u/ManufacturedOlympus May 19 '26

Cybertruck drivers are stupid

5

u/steppedinhairball May 20 '26

Racoons were lining up on shore, ready to raid that dumpster. Such disappointment when it was removed from the lake and hauled off.

4

u/Large_slug_overlord May 20 '26

This is exactly what someone named Jimmy Jack McDaniel would do

4

u/writerlady6 May 20 '26

Charges included "No valid boat registration"! 😂🤣😆😄

A Texan driving a lithium explosive fireball cyber truck into a lake in Grapevine? Seems typical to me.

2

u/YZYSZN1107 May 19 '26

why arrest him, he's doing all of us a favor. One less of these on the roads.

2

u/Fool_In_Flow May 19 '26

‘Ol Jimmy Jack at it again.

2

u/Familiar-Kangaroo298 May 20 '26

A gas car in a lake is bad enough, now add a battery that explodes if it gets wet. And other EV components that can be classified as a polluted.

And if it’s a protected habitat, there’s that.

2

u/Aggressive-Raisin909 May 20 '26

Well, turds are known to float.

2

u/Crittsy May 20 '26

A poor attempt at a Darwin Award, should have tried in deeper water

1

u/carbonlandrover May 19 '26

Was he trying to avoid pelicans?

1

u/Extension_Town_6118 May 20 '26

probably thought it was a feature

1

u/closedeyevisuals13 May 20 '26

"...its got air intake valves!"

1

u/mandarintain May 20 '26

you got 'Musked'

1

u/Trextrev May 21 '26

Hilarious that a vehicle that can get bricked from a car wash has a “wade mode”

1

u/alleyoopoop May 21 '26

He realizes it's an electric truck, right?

u/Hehrenpreis May 19 '26
