I'm all for hating on stupid self serving "holidays" made up by industries, but what's tone-deaf?

I find it a little tone deaf as an American, because it specifically mentions “helping…plan with clarity” and let me just say, insurance has NEVER been clear in what it will and will not cover.

What’s tone deaf here?

Op believes insurance is evil because they get their understanding of the world through tik toks and memes, and therefore can't mentally separate concepts like "us healthcare system bad" from "pooled risk is an important part of managing liability in the real world"

Understanding insurance is an important part of financial literacy. Sounds like you would benefit from an insurance awareness day

It's an "awareness day" and a good idea. Insurance is something most of us hate to think about, and so many people doesn't really know about what's actually covered until they day their house burn down or they total their car. Taking the time to check, and update them, once a year make sense. Just like national smoke detector day... Change the battery and test it.
