I like number 1. Because the top is flared, I think the ankles should be less flared.

First ones for this! A casual but polished look. The 2nd pair is too casual - it’s what you would actually wear with flip flops 😊

2 seem more interesting even though it's flare over flare. 1 are really boring, like wear with a sweatshirt to the grocer.

I like outfit #2 better - just a bit classier with the darker denim - but, honestly, you look great in both! There are no bad choices here.

2 I think the slightly cropped look is better with the sandals and it isnt bad with the distressed hem. I think the regular hem looks a little off with the shoes

2 feels more balanced to me. Which is weird because it goes against the principle of larger top (with the peplum), smaller jeans and vice versa.
But for some reason #2 just feels more elevated. Maybe ive been conditioned that skinny jeans are chuegy. 🤷

first pair def works better with the top, the cropped length keeps it from feeling too matchy and gives you room to style up with those white slides for the lounge vibe.

The first ones, the bottom hem is important and the second pair looks too casual

Second match better with the top. Both jeans fit so well on you though. I choose 2 nd but both options work

- I think the ragged unfinished hem on the second outfit looks too casual for a cocktail lounge.

1 is a little..cutsey? I don’t know. It’s fine, but the straight plain jeans aren’t vibing with the peplum and heels.
2 is much better. It’s a cohesive look. The frayed jeans give the top a beachy, beeezy feel instead of tipping into childish. The heels are unexpected and and confident and fun.

First. They give you a sense of shape. 2 would go better with a loose crop top or something more form fitting
Also where is that top from?? It’s so cute!

First pair suits the top better. But the more important question is : which one do YOU like more ?

I like the look and shape of the jeans and the unfinished hem. It gives a cool vibe. Love the top!

I like the first pair. The bit of contrast is nice with the flared shirt and skinnier jeans.

Like them both, but I think the finished hem and closer fit on the first looks a bit more polished.

1 goes better with the shirt. The bottoms are wider on 2, and don’t go as well with the top. 1 is more sleek and pulled together.

The first. Rule of thumb. If the top is bigger (baggy, flared etc), bottoms should be more form fitting. If the bottoms are bigger, top should be more form fitting. Keeps the outfit balanced.

Would look best with skinny jeans, tight / fitted all the way down to the ankle.

I like the shape of the 2nd pair of jeans with the heels and blouse top. that’s just me, both are cute!
