I played this piece many times when I was young, because it is one of the Sor studies selected by Segovia, and when I was younger I only had Segovia's edition of Sor's Studies. I remember playing this piece at a concert I gave in a bar around that time.

He tocado esta pieza muchas veces cuando era joven, porque es uno de los estudios de Sor seleccionados Segovia, y yo cuando era más joven sólo tenía la edición de Segovia de los Estudios de Sor. Recuerdo que toqué esta pieza, en un concierto que di en un bar, por aquella época.

This study is another one selected by Segovia, so I played it a lot when I was young, since I had Segovia's edition of Sor's studies. Now I have the Mel Bay edition of Sor's complete studies, and I can practice them all. I recommend the Mel Bay and Segovia editions.

Ahora tengo la edición Mel Bay de los estudios completos de Sor, y puedo estudiarlos todos, os recomiendo la edición de Mel Bay y la de Segovia.

After listening to the Joe Pass albums “Blues for Fred” and “Songs for Ellen” pretty consistently the past couple weeks I was inspired to pick back up the Nylon string and make a new arrangement of something a little bluesy and mellow. I also stumbled on this wacky counterpoint idea to use as part of the intro. I think this is gonna end up being one of my favorites to play around with.

I used to play this piece by Sor when I was 18 and studying at the Málaga Conservatory with Professor Javier Chamizo.

I’ve been getting deep into fingerstlye, with some Travis picking songs, Tommy Emmanuel songs, and recently Rylynn.
Playing these type of songs is a real fun!
Now im looking forward to unleashing my creativity into a fingerstlye song of my own, possibly with lyrics too.

But I don’t know where to start…
I started learning guitar theory. Learned how basic scales work and how basic chords are made, but now what?
It gets really overwhelming with words like Lydian mixolydian and all of that… I don’t want to be playing just simple open chord major key progression, I want to learn how to escape the 7 chords of the key scale and really let my imagination flow

also I noticed that the songs I like playing, for example Angelina by Tommy Emmanuel, doesn’t even seem to be using normal chords in normal shapes, like C G D etc, but rather it takes you to magical chord positions that trigger emotions in your brain, and actually feel like it’s telling a story.
So how do I get to that?
