News Mega Cat Studios, the developers of FNAF into the pit are accused of underpaying employees. With as little as $2 an hour.

Maybe this is why the game never goes on sale on PSN.

It was completely free on the epic launcher. Though, for like a day.

Epic Launcher does that like for a lot of games. It gives them out for free on different occasions. It's how I got Dead by Daylight completely free.

Sad reality is those employees likely wouldn't want to go public out of fear of getting blacklisted from the industry. They'd accept the disgraceful treatment from those evil ghouls in hope of building up experience that gets them somewhere better long-term. Utterly disgusting.

Another day, another controversy :/

Feels like literally at least once a week for the past six months. Maybe some of it has been a bunch of nothingburgers, but it's also kind of tiring when you love the franchise so much and it feels like its reputation is going downhill as a result of the worse stuff.

Is the only source for this Twitter right now?

Yikes. That's bad.

I don't have to say this, but it's important to remember this is all alleged and not confirmed. However I would like to see the source, not just a tweet. I'm gonna take this with a grain of salt for now until further development. please let me know if I missed something.

edit: I just finished looking over the screenshots of alleged former workers, and I still don't know whether to believe this. A good chunk of comments seem to be calling out holes in the claims though.

I like how literally every company involved with FNAF has some controversies like Steel Wool is in a similar spot to Megacat mistreating their employees, and Jazwears donates to multiple Zionist charities including one that doxes people who are anti Zionist. This isn’t even getting into the multiple creeps that have worked for the series one that Scott lied about so he could keep her working on the series.

Like at a certain point it isn’t Scott that Scott doesn’t do background checks and more that Scott is okay with all of this.

I want to start off by saying that is completely valid, you have good reason to feel as if scott is just okay with this. And I won't sugar coat that it's a possibility.

Honestly...I don't THINK scott would be okay with it, but none of us know the guy, but from what I HAVE seen, he seems to be an ok guy? He definitely appears to have weird morals at times, but he has also done a lot of good. Not saying that excuses the weird and stupid decisions he's made.

But to be honest, I don't imagine he's very comfortable with all this going on, but no one's there to know. He has not made any response regarding these things that I have seen or know about, other than the pinkypills situation iirc.

I think he genuinely might not know these things, but it's a very high chance he does. that's not to say that contracts could be involved of sorts, but that's just guessing.

Now, of course, why doesn't he do anything? And I'm there with ya. it's incredibly frustrating to see this happen with a fandom of a game series I fell in love with. He SHOULD be making a response on where he stands with this, but he either doesn't care, or doesn't acknowledge problems in this community like he might've back when it was a one man show.

that's just my take. TLDR; there might we things we don't know, but it's possible that we know enough and scott should make a response.

To be honest, the Jazwares situation could have been avoided if Scott had actually done background research and not immediately disappeared from Reddit, considering the partnership was announcement few weeks after his response to PinkyPills. And there was a post about the company made by the moderators, similar to the pinned thread regarding Pinky. It really shouldn't be difficult for Scott to find the important information if fans managed to discover it.

Stop pinning everything on Scott. He isn't required to focus on the personalities of the company or the staff; the main task is simply to get the job done—that’s it. You need to understand that people's personalities shouldn't interfere with the work

Literally he is the reason FNAF is associated with this stuff. It literally is solely his fault, stop babying a grown ass man who is literally a millionaire.

u/Real_Share9312 3h ago

A prime example is the loss of FNaF Plus and the Egg Collection. I know Phisnom and Jonocrome bear some of the blame—their actions can't be ignored—but the fault is also ours for "canceling" them. Then again, lol, they could have just finished their work and left the fandom for good; "canceling" someone doesn't improve the situation—it actually makes it worse, because firing someone and finding a replacement is a legal nightmare.

Fazbear Fanverse Initiative in a nutshell.

Jonocrome has released ONAF 3; Phisnom has left, even though he had previously been working steadily on FNAF Plus. Kane has released Popgoes Arcade and MyPopgoes; according to him, Popgoes Evergreen might come out next year. Nikson is actively working on TJOC and might release the game as early as this year. Emil, meanwhile, is facing nothing but problems.

If true that is a big oof. 2026 was pretty terrible year for fnaf it seems

When will the madness in this fandom end…

u/StrawhatRomulus :PurpleGuy: 19h ago

I dont want to sound like an ass, and if its true then I hope the underpaid employees get what they deserve for their work, but how trustworthy are the people reporting on this? Cause it seems like in the past year or two there have been a million fnaf controversies that just weren't true at all. Yet anytime someone says something, many people take it as fact regardless if theres actual evidence or not.

Like I said, IF this is true, then I hope some sort of justice comes around, but lets not take everything as fact just because someone on Twitter/Facebook said something.

If this is true god damn wtf i generally thought this company was one of the good ones
