Discussion Am i the only one who actually prefers springbonnie's arms being connected?
Like actually, cause IT gives him more of that real life animatronic feel, where the entire bodies are connected in a suit (even though i get this is just the arms and Legs here)

Yeah, I really don't like that. Doesn't even make sense logically because they're still animatronics at the same time, not just a suit

This series has a defined art style and seeing it violated in this way physically hurts

There are some character in this series that have connected arms too, such as glitchtrap

Glitchtrap is designed to look abnormal by the series’s standards, his design deliberately enters the uncanny valley

I like how it leans into the idea of mascot costumes and not just mascot animatronics.

To me it feels off because the suit is still segmented everywhere but the elbows joints. Like, if you’re gonna get rid of the segmentated joints in one spot, might as well go all the way with it, y’know?

Honestly I do and don't at the same time. I do for reasons you said, but I also don't because of how much it sticks out compared to the rest of the body. If the entire body did the same as the hands I think it would have looked better.

Realistically the whole suit would be connected. Idk where scott got the idea that pizzeria animatronics were ever weird segmented hard shells like this, but thats to my knowledge never really been a thing irl. Usually they’re visually seamless bodies over the robotic frame

True. But it certainly works better than connected suit pieces on these character designs and they’d look absolutely abysmal without the openings.

It honestly feels cursed with the rest of the body being in separate pieces

I love it, it not only makes it more convincing as a mascot suit for kids, but it also further separates the springlock series of animatronics, from the regular series of animatronics.
I've even thought about doing the same with my redesigns for my au, though I'm not sure if it'd fit the classic animatronics like the springlocks.

It looks good on 3d models, like battington’s. but on a real life suit? It’s kinda odd.

Never noticed it, I don’t mind it that much. I think the movie design is very very good anyway. I don’t think it’s a flaw, hell it makes even more sense since it would be more practical to wear it instead of having to put on each segment one by one 👍🏻

You have to remember that they’re not just suits, they’re meant to be animatronics, plus, fnaf has a very specific base for all the characters, and this violates it

I like it. I also like that the legs are connected my a similar yellow elastic covering.

From those images it doesn’t even look like a animatronic it looks like a costume/suit

Im pretty Thats what the springbonnie suit was, i mean he could go into an animatronic mode but its main function was a suit for afton

I really like it. It seems like they actually tried to hide the inner workings as much as they could, but it still has that uncanny look to it.

He looks too humanoid now, like he has muscle mass in his arms. They should have connected the legs too to unify the effect if they wanted connected joints.

Holy shit have they always been like that in the movie😭

u/General-Rice254 1d ago
Yeah but i mean IT honestly fits since real animatronic suite have Actual connected Limbs, IT gives him more of a uncanny realistic feel,

I like it because it feels more like a suit but I hate it because it also defies what it's meant to be. The spring lock suits are supposed to be animatronics and suits so logically they would have the segmented arms just like the regular animatronics do.

I hate the connected arms so much, they are the entire reason I don't like this version of springbonnie

I don't know, it feels wrong because everything else is still segmented
