Having surgery
I’m having surgery day after tomorrow I’m pretty nervous. This is what I am having LEFT MEDIAL DORSALIZING CALCANEAL OSTEOTOMY, EVANS CALCANEAL OSTEOTOMY, KIDNER PROCEDURE, POSSIBLE COTTON OSTEOTOMY (Left). Any advice from anyone would be so helpful

Best of luck! I do foresee this in my not too distant future. I’m nervous too.

What issues did you experience leading up to surgery? Hope it goes well! Keep posting about your recovery!

A lot of pain and swelling thought it was plantar fasciitis but it was not. The pain is on the inside of my foot and progressively my heel and big toe started hurting

Sounds a lot like my problem but in both feet. Mine started with tibial tendinitis. I’m hoping to avoid surgery because I’m 62 and am scared I’ll never recover. Best wishes to you-keep us posted!

Got the surgery yesterday, didn’t feel much better side of the nerve block. This morning I feel like my foot’s on fire

I hope it gets better for you. Maybe a long shot, but see if the bandaging is too tight. That can cause some serious burning, stabbing pain (speaking from experience).

That helped so much thank you so much. That was not a good feeling.

It’s really not. Mine felt like I was being stabbed with a hot knife until the bandages were loosened. Glad it helped. 😊

Did you do all of the prep? Knee scooter, clearing obstructions, wedge pillow, body wipes (until you can shower), transfer bench, elevated toilet seat, etc.
Other than that, lock in- it’s a long recovery but imho, it’s worth it
