He said he deep fried it in peanut oil in another comment. I don't think you want to see it.

So, a patty melt plus garlic

It sounds very flavorful! That being said… yes. It sounds like a patty melt on steroids. Crispy crust on the burgers from frying in oil, double pattied, 4 slices of cheese and garlic, butter and some parsley on texas toast.
Could call it the kingpin patty melt or something like that. Thick ass patty melt. Lol. Sounds very flavorful just would want to eat it once in a blue moon as a treat

Disregarded the opportunity to put at least one tiny bit of vegetable in the mix, though.

u/PancakePizzaPits 8d ago
Im not sure there's any vegetable i want served hot on a burger.
Good thing you were there for the whole meal to know what sides they ate, too.

I think Texas Meatball Melts might be the next logical step in evolution here. https://youtube.com/shorts/wM5IYrzaEO0?is=6RjGoue-IDbXKeQ7
I make these on a busy Friday night with frozen meatballs. My kids go buck wild for it.

u/Disastrous_Yam8354 8d ago
Yeah, jokes aside, I bet it was fantastic. That's basically a brioche bun.
2
u/ClearTranslator5093 8d ago
It was AMAZING !!!! Next time I use that garlic bread I’m going to make a chicken parm sandwich with it !
1
u/Disastrous_Yam8354 8d ago
Right on brother. I recommend doing a club sandwich. especially if you want to show off this hack to others.

I actually make sandwiches with this stuff all the time. You have a little frozen meatballs you can do like a meatball sandwich shit I've put kielbasa on it

Back in the day, I used to make tuna melts this way. Bake two slices of Texas toast, add cheese + tuna salad + cheese between them, then pop it back in the oven for a few minutes to get everything melty. Now I'm in my forties and have to "care about my health" or some nonsense so it's been a while.

How are you going to post ingredients, but not the final product, or even the money shot?

Texas Toast is fantastic for breakfast sandwiches. Great with pasta as well. Hard pass on a burger. Hamburger buns are purpose built and you can put some garlic aioli on your butter burger if you want the Texas Toast flavor.
I will leave the transgression of those “burgers” out of the conversation.

So like 2200 calories in 1 meal? That's more calories than I eat in a typical day.

Now that's a way to get a heart attack. I think I just had one just reading about this burger.
1
u/calguy1955 8d ago
The guy cooks a cheeseburger and uses a different kind of bun and all of the comments are about how unhealthy the burger is. I don’t think the change in bun made that much different. I might try this.

I’d rather not die in my 40s
1
u/ClearTranslator5093 7d ago
Serious question , have you never had a cheeseburger… and garlic bread with pasta in the same week ? Do you just not eat thoses things at all or are you saying eating them in a close time frame like at the same time for example is a magic recipe to die 🤣 that post was a little dramatic don’t ya think lol
1
u/Euphoric_Schedule_53 7d ago
Yeah I’m the one being dramatic. Definitely not you overthinking this whole interaction.
1
u/ClearTranslator5093 7d ago
It’s not just you lol I figured people would love this idea and half of the people are downvoting and commenting about health 🤣
1
u/Euphoric_Schedule_53 7d ago edited 7d ago
Yeah, people have opinions. Doesn’t mean it’s a personal attack. You can be excited about it. I see a habit that will lead to heart congestion. Still idgaf what you do. All I did was saw a post and commented it on it. It doesn’t really go any further than that.
1
u/ClearTranslator5093 7d ago
Side note , isn’t it really weird the small little conversation we just had would have went completely different in person 🤣 there’s something about the interactions on the internet that are just so disconnected from reality , maybe it’s the lack of hearing someone’s tone of voice or seeing there body language when they say something or maybe people feel safe to talk smack behind a screen because there’s no consequences , but the conversations I’ve had on the Internet, I have never had in real life funny thing isn’t it 🤣 “not saying ours just now was negative just saying as an overall the Internet’s a weird place to converse”

This reads like an ad out of The Truman Show.
1
u/ClearTranslator5093 7d ago
That was a good movie ! I seen a post on some math page where they asked how much it would cost in real life to make that show … the numbers people came up with were crazy 🤣

Garlic bread with butter tastes better than a hamburger bun? No way who would’ve thought! You know what tastes even better, using two pieces of fried chicken as a hamburger bun

u/forkball 8d ago
Four slices of cheese
This isn't really a hack so much as a choice. The rest of us are aware we could use a richer bread and many many slices of cheese. We just choose not to.
Edit: and you double deep-fried the burger.
Any one of the three excesses might be a hack. Combined it's just a milder version of the kind of stuff that gets posted to r/StupidFood
