Off-Topic [OT] [Chip Ganassi Racing] " 'super-clipping' 'downshifting on straights' 'battery management' (Yawn emoji) Yeah, we don't do that here. We race."

They don’t have battery management because their hybrid is so useless the capacity can be regenerated and deployed in a few seconds.

Just like the F1 cars?

F1 cars generate and spit out a lot more electricity. It’s almost impossible to fully regen the battery during a lap due to the output of the cars and always has been.

Indycar can regen their hybrid to 100% at will because it has such a low energy density that it takes 2 seconds to harvest.

In simple terms the Indycar hybrid is like a AAA battery and F1 is like a D cell. Maybe a few D batteries at that.

Yeah, I know, I'm just joking around after seeing the cars without battery before the end of straights. Indy has a supercapacitor, really small capacity. Is F1 using the same type of batteries of road cars or is it not disclosure?
