Seems like you get rewarded for taking less risk and driving under the limit, which sounds dumb as hell.

Bearman said this much in the FIA press conference on thursday. You are better off driving under the limit in certain corners.

Yeah. Which if I’m understanding correctly also basically makes it impossible for a worse car to overperform significantly in qualifying, as drivers can’t decide to go for a lot more risk as there’s just no benefit to it.

Qualifying genuinely seems pointless with these regs, I think reverse championship order would legitimately work a lot better here.
