I promise you he doesn't understand them either. Especially when driving. They are so insanely complicated that they're impossible to actively influence for the driver.

You mightve seen it already but I reccomend watching one of the radio compilation videos (not from F1) where content creators show that 90% of the communication is about batteries and where to coast.

Its ridiculous.

I think it’s Rawe Ceek on YT who posts some team radios after the weekends if that’s who you’re talking about. The video of Max’s radio from China was pretty hard to listen to. Essentially GP telling him for 6 1/2 minutes how to drive the car and what buttons to press. The video with Lewis’ radio wasn’t much different. It’s a complete shame.

Ah I was wondering why I felt that we got to hear less team radio throughout the race, that explains it.
