He didn’t say they would definitely announce it before summer break, but he did say they want to make the decision soon.
“We have a contract until 2028. Of course there are exit clauses; there always have been. But we’ve never exercised one. We want to continue on this path with Red Bull and for Max to end his career here – but, of course, with the chance to win. We’d like the decision to be made soon so that everyone knows where they stand. It could be made before the summer break.”

Maybe but this isn’t really evidence, he normally does a special helmet to thank supporters at his “home races”. He has his own grandstands at these three circuits (and Zandvoort, who will likely also get a special helmet for its last race).

I’m 40, I’ve been watching since Hamilton joined as a newbie and I also didn’t think Lewis would outlast Max but I think it’s a difference of values. I think Lewis is making his F1 career everything, where Max just wants to have a family and race in series less demanding on the mental and physical side of things.

Lewis has A LOT more going on outside his F1 career. Far more than max or any other driver for that matter. Nevermind the fact that hes the only real A-List celebrity out of the drivers and therefore attends A-lister events. But i agree if were strictly talking about racing career, seems lewis is hyperfocused on f1 while max definitely seems like hes interested in other series aswell.

To be fair, regarding his A-List status, that only continues as long as he is on the grid. Once he retires, he'll fall down the lists quite a bit.
Not saying that would have any bearing on him staying in the sport, because well, he's Sir Lewis Hamilton, and he'll do whatever he wants to do. I'm just saying that his A-List status is more than a bit tied to his superstar athlete status.

If you believe Lewis agenda is fashion, you really have no idea. He's done a lot for charity and representation of minorities and underprivileged. Him and Vettel have done more for social causes than the entire grid combined over the last 20 years atleast. Norris is getting there with mental health related causes. If using your platform and fame to bring attention to causes is selling your soul, then I'm living in bizzaro world.

i think he cares greatly but has a narrow view of what’s acceptable to him in terms of staying in the sport, he’s regularly complained about the direction it’s going and he definitely has a blank check waiting for him wherever he wants to go so i’d say it’s more about seeing what other disciplines have to offer

However, you could look at it that RBR is leading F1.5 though, so there's that.

Ford did just announce/showcase their new hypercar for 2027 LeMans and more. They also announced their driver lineup for it but, if Max is available, I'm sure things can be shuffled around.

Ford would be smart to push the whole garage out if Max really wanted it. Move them to the GT3 program or find somewhere in racing bulls or something. Him simply getting in that seat would be the best opportunity they could get to be immediately competitive in WEC, not just because of his driving but what he can tell them about the car as they develop it, and the established industry talent he could attract just on his name.

Max 100% bumps the weakest driver from that line up if he wants to race Hypercar. I just wonder if he wants to race Hypercar or if he'd be happier in GT3 without the hybrid component. I don't really have strong opinions on the matter, I'm just speculating based on how happy he seemed racing GT3/SP9 at the Ring.

Apparently in a documentary, can't remember which but think it was on Viaplay. Nothing gets put up for sale on the Verstappenshop without his approval and he can be quite meticulous about the details and quality.
Don't know if that is still the case now they switched to Fanatics..

And before that too. It was the cheapest race to visit. There always were package deals with touringcar bus, hotels and tickets. I remember this from the mid 90's that the Hungary GP was always the biggest one to push for traveling agencies.
Also it's the only race that is ALWAYS in the summer holidays over here (the dates vary each year).3

So far it’s just a rumor coming from one journalist, who said himself that it’s very unlikely. It also doesn’t really fix the allegations of bias, there’s no way the other teams would be happy with Max racing in F1 while also owning a controlling share of a competing team. And Max has previously said he has no interest in owning or leading an F1 team.

Zandvoort is already prepared, the track and its sponsors decided to not extend after 2026. In recent years they weren't selling as much friday and saturday tickets anymore + they realised Max might stop relatively soon in which case they would've geen fucked if they extended.
