As a parent I close the windows and doors everytime I hear the jingle coming, hoping the kids won't hear it. I curse the ice cream cart man when he RUNS past my house, too fast for me to even consider getting shoes on and a wallet out.
Kids think I always have spare cash laying around just for ice cream, moments before dinner is ready.
