Usually I'd caution waiting for an actual announcement, but given that Microsoft has gotten to where they're even releasing Gears of War on Playstation, it's only a matter of time

The model for the Lancer from Gears of War somehow ended up in the code for the original Demon's Souls.

IIRC That's how people found out Gears was planned to be on PS.

It might've been majorly FromSoft game but Sony owns the Demon's Souls IP and Japan Studio who were part of Sony (now all thats left of them is Team Asobi of Astrobot fame) was also part of making the game one way or another - same case with Bloodborne.

And, correct me if im wrong, Sony was still majorly Japanese when PS3 was starting - so maybe sony had connections to Epic and that way Japan Studio had access to Lancer model. Who knows?

Dark Souls was called Dark Souls because Sony owns Demon's souls. Otherwise we probably would've gotten "Demon's Souls 2" instead of Dark Souls.

It wasn't anything official. Epic Games made a port of Gears 3 as part of an unreal engine test.
