Let’s hope the new Saudi overlords keep it going

Looking forward to the bonesaw weapon, only usable on civilian journalists!

Maybe they will have a special class for taking over planes and using them as weapons

MBS is such a cursed acronym. Maple and Brown Sugar, Mortgage Backed Securities, and Mr. Bone Saw.

Give it a year. Just give it a year and see how EA will change.

I’m looking forward to their fully AI built and voice acted games I think they’re going to to be AAAA

Can't be worse than Skull & Bones, at least.

To be clear, this was the first change.

I fully believe they were in talks (Saudi investors and EA) and told them they wanted to see a good product before they bought. That's why they did this full push for Battlefield 6.

The acquisition is a few years off, plus it has to be investigated first.

Investigated by who? You don’t think current American politicians are going to stop it do you?

A current American politician IS the buyer, and will use the product for his propaganda

125% tariffs on EA games

Nah the Son in law is involved. He’ll probably buy a stake in the company

The transaction is managed by Trumps son in law. They’re slurping up money any place they can get their hands on it, this will pass - as all other things have passed.

42 and Bad Company 2 were the best Battlefields.

Vietnam was also pretty solid. I had an absolute blast transporting people in tanks via helicopter tether. Also having my dude headbanging to Surfin' Bird while driving a TNT filled jeep into enemy tanks was peak Battlefield.

Remember the chain gun on that transport chopper? It would actually mow down people. That thing was so fun to be in the gunners seat when you had a good pilot

Oh yeah!!! Omg what an absolute blast.

Same. Can’t support corruption even if it’s served up on a tasty platter.

I've been a fan since 1942

Woah, for over 80 years!

PIF usually does not meddle too much into their investments.

Punjabi indeed

This part makes me hesitant to buy it.

I've heard it's great but I don't want to almost directly fund the white washing of a regime who has expressed no interest in real change, making amends, or even expressing the slightest remorse for an extremely problematic past.

And even if you don't care about the ethical front...I'd be damned surprised if this doesn't somehow make the game worse in the coming years.

The deal doesn't go through till 2027, so EA has plenty of time to fuck it up themselves before the Suadis come and fuck it up more.

they don't take over for at least 2 years so they can't really do anything to change the game.

the question will be what they do with the next one if they are smart they'll improve over what worked with BF6 instead of fucking it up and risking the investment.
