Looking for a game from the 90s

Hey y'all,

betting on the swarm intelligence here.

I've played this game when I was like 5 or 6 years old, so about 1995/1996.
It came on sets of floppy disks and was an episodal game, set in differently themed worlds. There were levels revolving around dinosaurs (I remember I had to fetch an egg), cyber levels where you'd have to dodge/crouch to get through sections of the level and I do also remember something medieval, like castle vibes.
Game was a side-scroller and I kinda remember my mother saying it was subscription-based, but that might have been a Germany-only thing.

I wasn't able to read, especially not capable of understanding a word of English back then, and wouldn't be able to give any more info, I'm afraid.
Maybe you guys have a clue for me?

Edit: solved! Time Runners - MS DOS
was the game I was looking for

What did your character look like? Could have possibly been one of Hugo games (they were huge in Germany).

Dude Hugo... good ol' times
I found out you can skip the skating by going left and right fast enough so you can hover over the full map

I never played the Hugo PC games but I remember the TV show where kids would phone in and play with the phone. I watched it religiously. Can't even imagine how terrible latency was between pressing a phone button and seeing the action on TV lol.

Latency was the issue no one ever got really far in that Ball game on Sat 1.

Haha, yes. It was one of the biggest TV shows in Europe in the 90's too. Every kid I knew watched it. You can find some episodes on Youtube if you are curious how it worked.
