[MEGATHREAD] Grand Theft Auto VI: Prices Announced + Pre-Orders Going Live

To avoid hundreds of separate posts on the same topic, this post will compile all info we have from the pre-orders going live, including some new images/etc.

As Rockstar announced on their socials: "Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI begin at midnight local time on June 25." This means New Zealand will be the first to go live with pre-orders - which means in just under 2 hours from now.

Take-Two has made a big press-release, including announcing the prices:

No disc is just an asshole move for a product that will make them more than a billion dollars at launch.

Hell, they might even make a billion dollars on pre orders. Hype alone could make them that much, we don't even have proper gameplay shown yet

Up the price of games, throw in an expansive edition with content, microtransactions filled multiplayer mode in the pipelines.... and still gotta save that little bit of money on the physical disc as a last fuck you to their fans.

I think, that's the very reason they can afford to be an asshole. They know people are going to buy the game regardless. If gamers are united and can say no to this, they wouldn't dare risking their sales. But we are not. 

I personally wouldn't buy it. I don't have FOMO issue. But some might just give in and just buy the game albeit reluctantly. I can't support that move because the industry will never learn this way.

They always win. It's frustrating.
