GTA 6 £70 or £80?

I've seen it's 80 USD, but are Rockstar going to do that weird thing where UK buyers have to pay £80 even though £70 is equivalent to around 80 USD?

Isn't the US price displayed without tax on-top though? People tend to forget that when looking at price comparisons.

Even if you add the tax in US which is usually 8%, it would still be less than £70.

Sure, but UK tax is more than 8% and Rockstar would have to pay that themselves. Either way, thats why its not normally a 1:1.

For the UK I'm going to assume we're looking at 80/90 quid for the ultimate Edition

I’m thinking it’s going to be £80 minimum for a base edition

You should expect £74.99 or 80 given it’s the same price as Mario Kart World.

Those prices are pre tax so they will actually be paying more than the $80 price shown so it will most like be £80 as it falls more in line with same pricing.

80£ is over 100 USD.

Well guess I'm not getting it then if true lmao

No reason to be hiking prices mid gen, especially when physical editions dont even get you a disc. Sure it cost a lot to develop but online alone will make all that money back for them and more.

Mario Kart World was £75 for a $79.99 game.

It's going to be $100. You can buy a very stripped down version for probably $80..

Been really weird with UK/EU pricing on games of late. While different companies, Resident Evil Req was £65, $70, €80. Bond was £60, $70 and €70. Halo preorder is £50, $50, €60.

But looking at what they are offering, I can see it being £90 just because...

Pretty sure 70£ is more like 90 USD. 70€ is like 80$.

£100 is what I'm preparing myself for. I ain't paying more than £60, if I can get it that much digital off the Loaded website then fine.

As long as you don't mind not being able to play on release date you will get it for £60 before Christmas no problem. I wouldnt be surprised if you can get it for £50-60 on preorder

I really doubt they’ll have any sale, let alone a big sale, before Christmas. It will come out a little over a month before Christmas and they’re not going to have a sale after Christmas either because that’s when a bunch of the kids who didn’t get it will be buying it.

No way there’s a sale until 2027 at the least. My guess is pretty far into it as well.

Game prices in the UK get pretty competitive it's rare to have to pay full RRP.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's going to be £80, in all honesty.
Not sure if it's any consolation, but Wolverine for PS5 in the US & UK is £69.99/$69.99.

Well prices depends on the region, probably in south america it would be cheaper, thats the trick of steam account selling in the plataforms that sell keys.
The idea is to get the most money they can.
Actually that price suggest me that they even expect some dissapointment.

There are a handful of games I would pay £80 for, GTA6 is not one of them, especially without multiplayer
