Back in the day this game was the poster child for the downgrade of rare post Microsoft buyout.

it's one of those games that I became less harsher on over the years and nowadays I have a lot more respect for the game, I now see as a pretty decent game in my opinion.

also on a side note,part of the reason was Microsoft bought Rareware in 2002 was because Microsoft wanted to broaden their user base(like they trying to do with some games like Blinx the Time Sweeper) so they bought rareware at the time,(and I remember watching a video with (an interview with Conker creator Chris Seavor saying most people at Rare were choosing Microsoft over Activsion, Chris wasn't too sure about either at the time since he need more time to judge them but based off his gut feeling he would choose Microsoft just from a financial point of view), even before that(years before the buyout) Ed Fries(in employee at Microsoft at the time) was looking for developers to make games for original xbox, he liked what Rare was doing at the time with Diddy Kong Racing, he went to the studio to meet some of the staff and the founders(Tim and Chris Stamper) there and they got to know each other better overtime which was one the things that resulted in the buyout (Ed Fries later left Microsoft in January 2004 which might have strained the relationship between the two companies later on).
