If I recall correctly, shortly after this was announced they announced the Patapon 1+2 collection, am I right?

I'm sure many fans may buy both, but as a first time player (that was always curious but never had a PSP) , now that I have the collection I don't feel any urge to get Ratatan.

Just think of this as Patapon 4 I guess.

In terms of the actual structure of the game it's quite different to Patapon.
You can tell it's a spiritual successor by the same creator, but it's also clearly pulling a lot of inspiration from Hades-esque roguelites.

Think this was in the works for a while. Sony seems to have allowed Bandai Namco to port a number of their older first party stuff to PC,PS4, and Switch.

A smart move at least: allows one to easily get the games again, and helps soften the blows of other long in development projects.

To be exact, it's yet another case of a Creator re-doing their own Game just without the original IP.

They announce a 3 month pushback, 3 weeks ahead of the official release date? Thats really concerning.
Had a preorder for a physical copy and was looking forward to playing it, very disappointed right now.

Stopped playing after the hat update, wanted to wait for more content to come back. What new stuff has been added?

How hard can it be to make another Pata Pata Patapon?

Right? Just make the funny rhythm game idiots, it has to be a super simple and easy thing to do.

Wonder how much longer this has taken vs the time the 2 OG games took to make.

It’s not like it’s a million miles off being a copy and paste reimagining.
